"What do you mean you're taking me out?" I asked, confused.

"Well, it's kinda self explanatory." he said. "C'mon."

"I'll have to call my parents first to tell them I'm staying at a friends house." I said.

Corey grabbed my arm and led me into the kitchen, he handed the phone to me and I started to dial my parents number.

I told, actually lied, that I was staying at Camilla's. I've noticed that I've been doing a lot of lying since I met Corey.

"Okay, let's go." Corey said, and started to drag me out the door. We both got into a car that was in his garage.

"Do you even know how to drive?" I asked, as he started the car up.

"Nope." he smiled, and started to back out of the driveway.

Corey pulled into the local McDonalds and I laughed.

"What?" he asked.

"McDonalds?" I snickered.

"Yeah, of course." he playfully rolled his eyes. We got out of the car and began to walk up to the door. He opened the door for me, and I thanked him.

We walked up to the counter and he asked "What do you want to eat?"

"Just a McChicken, please." I responded.

"Fries and a coke as well?" he asked.

"Yeah, sure." I shrugged.

He ordered our food, and seeming how it was kind of late, we were one of the only ones there, so he sat at a small, two chaired table.

"So, uh, what's been going on?" he asked, as he sipped on his drink.

"Nothing really, I don't really talk to Camilla anymore." I truthfully said.

"Whys that?"

"I'm not sure honestly, we just haven't talked."

"384!" the cashier shouted. Corey got up and got the test or food, bringing it back over.

"Thank you." I said, as he handed me my food, he smiled in return.

We ate in silence when he started laughing quietly.

"What?" I asked.

"I just thought of something." he said.

"What was it?"

"A joke." he laughed, again.

"Go on." I moved my hand in the 'go on.' motion.

"What happens when a cow tries to jump over a barbed wire fence?"

"I don't know." I shrugged.

"Utter destruction." he laughed, I started laughing too.

"Are you that easily amused?" I asked. He nodded his head.

Corey told me goodbye as I got out of his car, when he pulled up at my house.

"Wait, Brin." he said.

Looked back at him, and he leaned in and lightly kissed me.

"Bye." he smiled.

"Bye." I smiled back.

I walked up to my front door, as he drove off, and walked inside. My Mom was sitting at the desk by the front door and said,

"I thought you were staying at Camilla's."

"Yeah, well, I decided not to. Sorry." I apologized.

"It's fine. It's getting late, go get ready for bed."

I walked upstairs and closed the door to my room. That night I went to bed, happy, for the first time in weeks.
