POV (Y/n)

-Day 10 in the Scorch-

"Tie them up," Jorge orders, and his eyes land on me "except for her," he says pointing to me and I sneer at him. "(Y/n)!" Thomas shouts as he's dragged away, but I don't look I know he's not in any immediate danger. I stare at Jorge, he approaches me and surveys me pulling out one of the knives strapped to my leg. "For a small girl you're very violent," he tells me and I scoff as he touches the tip of the knife to the skin of my cheek. I knew it was all a show, and I wasn't phased as I glare at him.

"I want you to tell me what you know," he says and I raise an eyebrow at him "about what?" I ask and he twiddles the knife in between his fingers "WICKED, the Right Arm, and anything else of importance," he tells me "if I don't?" I ask him no fear in my voice. "Then things might not end up well for you and your friends," he tells me and I laugh. "Here's the thing, I know this game. I've seen it before, the whole threatening bit, and I just don't care anymore. Some people have a day," I tell him as I wiggle my wrist lightly loosening another knife secured to me.

"I've had a bad life. If I love something it's taken from me, if I win the fight, I lose the war," I continue as the knife finally falls into my hand, and I quickly jab it in the guard on the left. He's shocked and in pain and fumbles backward. The guard on my right strays for his gun, but I'm faster jumping on him and stabbing him next. When I turn back to Jorge I look feral "threats only work on someone who has something to lose, but me? I've already lost it all," I tell him pressing my knife to his throat gently.

"Now give me one good reason not to slit your throat," I tell him and I hear a gun cock behind my head and the girl from earlier is holding to my head. "Because I can get you and your friends to the right arm," he tells me and I look between his eyes skeptical, and having no reason to trust him. "You don't trust me?" he asks and I stay quiet not answering "that's smart, so let's both have something on the line. We can't get into safe haven without you and you can't get out of here without me," Jorge explains and I slowly pull the knife away from his throat. I feel the gun leave my head and I turn to look at the girl.

"Here's what you need to know," I start

~Time Skip~

I enter the room where my friends hang upside down, "look at you guys hanging out without me," I joke and Minho glares "(Y/n) get us out of here," Thomas shouts shocked to see me without guards on my arms. Jorge comes in and stands at the lever that controls the ropes they're all tied to. "What the shuck?" Minho asks and I wave a hand stopping his confusion "we have a common goal," I tell them answer "is it the blood rushing to my head or is this shank not making any sense. With that, Jorge lowers them letting them get loose, we make quick work of untying them.

"(Y/n), what's going on?" Thomas asked "I'll explain later Tommy right now we need to get out of here, and then the song starts playing. Brenda had set the plan in motion, "you're not going anywhere," a man said holding up a gun to stop us from leaving and I glare at him. I want to grab at me knives, but he's watching me carefully. I bite my cheek and look at Jorge as we hear Janson's voice sound from over head. "Listen, Janson makes hallow promises come with us," I say stalling for time.

The man smiles a nasty smile and lifts the radio to his mouth "Janson, I got 'em I'm bringing them to you," he tells Janson and I sneer but smirk when I hear the gun and watch the man fall to the floor. "Come on!" Brenda says to the group and Jorge and I follow without hesitation "come on there isn't much time," I tell the others who hesitate. We follow Jorge back to the room we'd just been in and he opens a window to reveal a rope between this building and the next, he'd called it a zipline earlier.

"Right this way!" He exclaimed "oh, you gotta be kidding me," Fry says looking out at the distance "Plan B, Hermano. You kids wanna get to the Right Arm? I'll lead you to them, but you owe me," he says before grabbing one of the many escape ropes "Follow me!" he exclaims jumping out the window and holding onto the rope for dear life. I watch and grab a hold of the next rope. "Don't think just go!" I tell the boys and myself as I jump and I feel the cold night air rush past me and for a second I'm not in the midst of chaos.

If I ever got to safe haven, I'd make sure there were thousands of these.
