When Sidharth reached his clinic along with Shehnaaz, he saw Bindu and Rupanshi waiting for him. He signalled the receptionist to send them after 10 minutes.

"Jai Shree Krishna" Rupanshi greeted Sidharth with a subtle smile entering his cabin. Bindu also greeted him. He reciprocated them by saying "Jai Shree Krishna" with his hands folded.

"Come sit Rupanshi and Bindu Ji." Sidharth said.

Rupanshi looked at Shehnaaz and thought, "Yeh hamesha inke cabin mai hi kyu rehti hai. Baaki sab bhi toh bahar hai." She was brought out of her thoughts when her mother shook her and asked her to sit.

"So Rupanshi, what is your answer?" Sidharth asked Rupanshi.

"Doctor, mere hisaab se toh mera rang koi dikkat nahi hai. Par yeh dikkat tab ban gaya jab logon ne mujhe yeh bola ki yeh rang sahi nahi hai. Especially ek ladki ke liye." Rupanshi said. This time she allowed her mother to be with her as she has seen her mother worry about her.

Bindu was baffled with the revelation. She asked, "Rupa, tu ne rang ke chakkar mai 2 baar aatmhatya karne ki koshish ki hai?"

Rupanshi looked down ashamed of her act. She knew her parents has seen hell twice when she tried attempting suicide. Now, her mother knew the reason also. She knew her parents never told her anything about her color. She could see hurt in her mother's eyes. "Maa, mein thak gayi thi. Koi jeene nahi deta. Jahan jaaun wahan log mujhe nayi-nayi cream, saabun aur treatment batate the. Aur toh aur mein jahan padhaati hun wahan ke bachche bhi chidhaate hai piche se. Wahan ke teachers peeth piche baate banate hai. Kaise sahun itna." Saying this she started crying hysterically.

"Par Rupa, kabhi maine ya tere papa ne kuch bola tujhe?" Bindu asked with tears streaming down her face.

"Nahi maa. Aapne aur papa ne kabhi kuch nahi kaha. Please aap apne aap ko doshi mat maano. Bass mein thak gayi hun. Aap dono toh best ho." Rupanshi clarified her point to her mother.

"I am sorry to interrupt but meri baat suno aap Rupanshi. Trust me aapko mere paas aane ki bhi zarurat nahi padti agar aap yeh samjh jaati ki log kahengen aur kuch time tak kahengen, phir chup ho jaayegen. Aap inn sab logon se zindagai bhar ke liye nahi judi ho. Koi anjaan apni pu ri zindagi aap par nahi lagayega jab tak vo khud aap ka apna nahi ban na chahe. Aur agar vo anjaan aap ka apna banega toh vo aapko aap jaise ho vaise accept karega. Aap apne mummy-papa se jeevan bhar judi rahogi. Jab kabhi unhone aapko kuch nahi kahan hai toh aapko koshish karni padegi ki dusre logon ki baate aap ko affect na kare. I know it is difficult but aapko hi karna hai. Medical science mai iss ki koi dawai nahi hai ki mein aapko prescribe karu aur aap uski dose se theek ho jaaye." Sidharth spoke.

"Nahi doctor. Yeh aaj kal ki kahani nahi hai. Jab se mein school mai padhti thi tab se tang kar rahe hai. Dekh kaali aa gayi, kaali kaluti, kitni gandi lag rahi hai yeh, isko dance group mai nahi lenge kyuki pu ra group ganda dikhega. Aisi aisi cheeze suni hai maine. Aap batao itne saalo se koi aisi baate bolega toh kya koi sehan kar paayega." Rupanshi was screaming with tears drenching her cheeks.

"Calm down Rupanshi. Suno ek baat batao. Jin logon ne aapko school mai tang kia ya ab jo work place pe tang kar rahe vo log same hai?" Sidharth asked.

"Nahi. Sab nahi par kuch rishtedaar aur padosi bhi toh aise hi hai." Rupanshi replied with a heavy voice due to crying.

"See Rupanshi. Atleast kuch log toh same nahi hai. Matlab jo school mai aapko rag karte the vo apna kaam dhandha chhod kar abhi bhi aapko salaah nahi de rahe hai. Aur aapne khud kaha kuch rishtedaar tang karte hai, sab nahi. Toh aap samjho iss baat ko ki hum log sabko control nahi kar sakte hai, na sabko sudhaar sakte hai aur na hi sabko samjha sakte hai. Aur hume yeh karna bhi nahi hai. Kyu khud ki energy aise logon pe waste kare jo aapke liye important nahi hai. Jo aapko vaise pyaar karte hai jaise aap hai unse aap khud ko connected rakho. Khud cheeze dheere dheere theek hogi. I know kehna aasan hai aur karna kathin par koshish karo, kin ke liye - khud ke liye, apne mummy papa ke liye, unn achche rishtedaaro ke liye jo aapko pyaar karte hai. Aur aap jaise ho, achche ho. Hume option nahi milta hi ki hum apna rang color pallet mai se chun le. Everbody is unique." Sidharth explained.

Bindu looked at Rupanshi who has been quite for a few minutes since Sidharth explained her. She kept her palm on her daughter's head with love.

Rupanshi first looked at her mother, then towards Sidharth and said, "I will try. I will try my best. Samjh gayi ki sab nahi par kuch toh hai jo mujhse pyaar karte hai. Aur yeh bhi samjh gayi ki sab humare hisaab se nahi chalegen."

"But that doesn't mean ki bahut zarurat padne par aap unhe jawab na de. Ignore karo kuch din mai khud shaant ho jaayegen. Par phir bhi kabhi lage ki log apni hadd paar kar raha hai toh give them a befitting reply. Also, you success will automatically shut their mouth. So work on improving yourself. Push your limits." He explained Rupanshi.

"Thank You doctor sahab. Mujhe toh pata hi nahi chalta ki yeh aisi baati ke liye apni keemti zindagi gawa rahi hai." Bindu thanked Sidharth but still she was hurt. Rupanshi knew it and started crying again.

Shehnaaz got up from her place and offered water to both of them. "I am sorry Rupanshi ki mein bich mai bol rahi hun. Par na aapko kuch time baad samjh aayega ki kon aapke liye important hai aur kon nahi. Aap pachtaayegin future mai ki aap kaise logon ki wajah se apni life khatam karna chah rahi thi jo koi value hi nahi rakhte aapki life mai. Aasan nahi hai bullies ke bich rehna par aapko karna padega. Mein khud jaanti hun parents ki importance kya hoti hai life mai isliye bol rahi hun. Sorry agar maine zyaada bola ho toh." Shehnaaz said with a heavy voice choking her emotions.

"Nothing to worry. Just try a little harder, Rupanshi. Bindu ji, I request ki ab jab aapko inki problem pata chal gayi hai toh aap inki help kare. Dekhna kitna jaldi yeh theek hongi apni imaginary problem se, kyuki yeh problem inki hai hi nahi logon ki hai. And yes, Shehnaaz is right. You haven't said anything wrong." Sidharth spoke.

After Bindu and Rupanshi left, Sidharth stood up and gave a tight hug to Shehnaaz. "I am really proud of you. You are strong. Trust me I will heal you completely but I need your support. And I am not saying this as a doctor but as a friend, only if you allow me to be you friend." Sidharth said.

Shehnaaz tightened the hug and nodded. "Friends" she offered.

"Friends" he accepted.

The chapter has less of Sidnaaz moments but was necessary to highlight a very common but grave issue.
