(33) CHAPTER XXXIII

—OUT OF THE BLUE—

"Woah what's up with your eyes? Halloween has already passed" Baekhyun joked looking at the startling odd eyes

"Oh no no no please don't cry please no I was just kidding" baekhyun rushed getting smacked on his head by Jimin on his way towards the omega whose eyes were tearing up at the comment

"Oh god, I'm sorry! I don't wanna die young" He awkwardly raised his hands pleading, praying the omega somehow stops crying on his own, hoping for it to happen before he dies

"What's wrong?" Jin asked Jungkook standing beside the omega glaring red eyes at Baekhyun who was cowering in fear now

"His eyes changed color" Namjoon tried to understand repeating the obvious

"All of sudden?" Jin was confused looking at Taehyung whose one eye was colored light grey with a hint of blue in it while the other was chocolate brown

"I'm gonna call the doc" Jimin announced rushing out of the kitchen leaving the mains staring between the couple

"I'm not sure" Jungkook answered while tugging the omega with his hand to sit at the dining table chair.

Till the time he took a glass and filled it with cranberry juice before offering it to Taehyung Jimin was back with the doctor who didn't waste any second rushing to the omega doing his check-up.

The mains waited patiently

"It's what you thought, his second gender is slipping out showing its existence but I think his eye color might be the expected side effect for suppressing his second gender for so long and it could be a problem since it turned out more complicated than I imagined" the doctor informed

"What do you mean Kevin?" Jin questioned voicing their confusion, not understanding his analysis

"His eye color might not go back to normal" Kevin replied with a sympathetic tone in his voice

"Not go back to normal? What're you saying that's absurd he can't live with just one eye having different color" Jimin exclaimed horrified

"That's why it's a side effect and we can't say for sure if it will go back to its normal color or not" The doctor glanced at the omega with eyes full of sympathy making the omega look away to avoid his stare "His gender was suppressed for so long that his instincts and wolf side emotions are malfunctioning"

"Is there no way to fix this?" Jimin asked not giving up

"I'm afraid there isn't. We don't know how this happened so it won't be possible to determine how to fix this plus this isn't a normal case it's unique we can monitor and see what changes—"

"He's not a subject! Why're you all asking us to sit back and watch the show" Jin was irritated

"I'm sorry that isn't what I meant the case is just- just different so it's hard to—"

"But you said it's a side effect how can you be sure about that then?"

"Because of his reports that showed skin allergy which also had the signs of side effects so this can be the same thing if you want, I can still run a few more tests to study and see if I can work out any possible way to help him"

"I was afraid something like this would happen so I refrained from giving him any type of scent blockers yet this happened" Jimin informed dejected
