No one noticed, not the limp he carried or his ratty jeans. They saw colorful designs on his clothes as he hid away the rips and stains of blood too big to hide. He always came into work smiling loving his jobs,

It was Monday, Levi loved his work. He really did, it was just a little tiring. He got ready for work, dressed in his white jeans and light blue shirt because he might get flour on himself again.

He caught the 8:30 bus to downtown and clocked in right at 8:55. The owner was there making bread already so he help put it out and get the fridge restocked. Him and the owner -Sally- didn't speak much thankfully, he had a bit of an issue with speaking to people.

He was surprised when at nine when he flipped the sign not even two or three minutes later guys from the building across the street were coming in. They were a bit dirty and thankfully the least dirty one stinky came in, he did so slowly and apologized for the mess he knew he was gonna make. They ordered about four iced coffees and four bottled ice coffees, got a dozen donuts and one of the gallon jugs of lemonade. " your totals 45.50" I said as loudly as I could without my voice coming out in a whisper. " Thank you so much! Bakery's don't normally have so much for breakfast, see you guys for lunch" he waved goodbye but there was a small line I had to tend to so I quickly forgot about them.

Though true to his word they were back at lunch, he took the rest of the breakfast sandwiches since we had to either eat them or get rid of them. Got about nine bottles of water and a few bagels and a panini, " your total is 19.75" he looked surprised but handed me the cash neatly. " Can I ask real quick how come it's so cheap?" I swallowed and nodded since we were empty. " I-it'd a dollar p-er bottle, thats-s nine and 5 for the panini, 14 and then four fer the bagel 18. 1.50 for tax" he nodded and thanked me leaving a few dollars in the tip jar. " th-thank you have a nice d-ay" I waved and he smiled leaving to the others outside who I swear cheered.
