It'd been a while since he'd participated in a mission such as this one, a mission in which all he had to do was record, hide, and take various pictures of the thug's involved. It was a pretty simple task Chan was glad to waste his time on; only in these kinds of missions could he get double-chinned pictures of ugly thugs after all.

And yet, as soon as he'd been told the identity of those he'd spy on, the joy he'd earlier felt immediately dimmed down significantly.

See, LUNA was a big, top level criminal organization in which its leader was never scared to show its corporations' "achievements". He was oddly eccentric after all, smart and cunning; his organization reflected his personality. Because of this, the undercover agents often found it quite easy to gain information on them, and cops and lackeys were always willing to give away crucial information in turn for special benefits.

So, if there clearly wasn't any shortage of information, why would this kind of procedure even be brought up in the first place?

Chan wasn't left in the dark, he knew LUNA branch members were planning something big, something that –according to the upper officials– could be dangerous if unknown. But if this were the case, why not step in instead of spying on them? Chan was sure the branch members weren't probably big shots, so the chances of encountering extreme danger would be low. And, even if they did, he knew the headquarters could easily pull a backup plan out of their sleeve.

Curious and confused by the whole ordeal, Chan asked Cheol about it a couple of days before the mission was presented to the inmates. However, speaking to the older proved to be pointless. Cheol only replied with vague answers, all which lead to the same old damn thing:

"They know what they're doing Chan, all we have to do is follow instructions"

And when he'd decided to ask Minghao about it and probably clear his suspicions, the other merely replied:

"Cheol believes the upper officials might be onto something, so all we have to do is do as he says"

The answer had caused him to grimace. "Really?" He'd replied. "Since when do you listen to Cheol anyways?"

"Since he became my boss" A bewildered expression. "So I suggest you keep this kind of information to yourself. Remember when I told you about the traitor? I'd be better if no one were to know about it"

   Chan scoffed at the memory.

Was he the only one who found this whole situation odd? Was he really the only one who found themselves questioning the upper officials decisions?

With a sigh, the brunet turned the in-ear on and waited for the monitor before him to come to life.

It'll only be a matter of minutes before the mission starts. Chan hopes his gut feeling was merely a false alarm.

As he unconsciously began to bite his bottom lip, the person beside him stopped spinning around in the chair and turned to look at him with a mischievous smirk.

"They don't know I'm here, do they?"

At this, Chan scoffed. "Of course they don't. You were rude enough to show up uninvited" He heard the man beside him giggle, which in turn caused him to roll his eyes. "Seriously, how mad can you be? Didn't you have an important mission in Alhambra?"

"Had." A sigh. "UNIT 143 dealt with the problem faster than all of us had anticipated"

   "UNIT 143?"
