The walk to the main room of the gala was dreadful.

Both Joshua and Jeonghan, as much as they hated, stayed close together and refused to be away from each other's side. They never thought they'd be meeting Luna's right hand man this quickly. Of course, this was enough of a reason to be on high alert.

"So, where do the two of you come from?"

Caught off guard, Jeonghan looked at the man in front of him with widened eyes. He never expected him to suddenly begin speaking Korean.

Joshua, who noticed this, gave him a slight nudge and then turned to look at Vernon sheepishly. "We come from America," He lied. "I was born in LA and he moved there recently"

The burnet chuckled. "No wonder he looked so clueless when you were talking to Mr. Lopez”

‘So he’s been watching us huh?’ Jeonghan thought as uneasiness resided in his chest.

They continued to walk behind Vernon for what felt like hours since the silence between them three was beginning to become suffocating. However, this silence was soon replaced by the tune of the violins and cellos, and without knowing, they had reached a wide door that had imprints of many different flowers decorating it.

“Joshua, Jeonghan," Vernon said with a smile as he opened the doors. "I hope you two enjoy the gala"

Joshua chuckled. “I’m sure we’ll do”

But Jeonghan on the other hand stayed still on his spot, shock and worry spreading all over his face.

   ‘How...does he know our names?

Before he disappeared into the crowd, Vernon gave them a slight bow and then turned around. And as soon as he did so, the air both Joshua and Jeonghan were holding in was turned into a sigh of relief.

Immediately, Jeonghan turned to Joshua and grabbed his hand. Joshua, who was shocked, looked at him with a face of disgust as Jeonghan dragged him to a wall. He was about to curse the living hell out of him until Jeonghan looked at him with worry spread all over his face.

   "There’s something wrong here”

Confused, Joshua arched an eyebrow. “What do you mean?”

“Did you show Vernon the invitation?” He shook his head. “Then how does he know our names?”

Joshua’s eyes widened. He gulped. “M-Maybe the man who was leading us inside first told him?”

“I doubt it..” Jeonghan frowned. “What are our names supposed to be anyways?"

With a shrug, Joshua took the envelope out from his breast pocket once again. As they opened it, their eyes grew wide. And although the quartet in front was playing pretty loud it felt as if the world had just frozen around them.

"Jake and Jonathan Adams" Jeonghan looked at him. "How the fuck did he know our names when they're not even the same??"

"I'm not sure.." He frowned. "Let's just..get the mission over with" Joshua sighed. "I can't believe it, we just got inside and everything's already a mess"

"Unfortunately. But you know what's messier? That thing in your head you call hair"

Surprised, Joshua reached out for his phone and then looked at his reflection. With a scoff, he glanced over at Jeonghan and then rolled his eyes.

   "What?"

"My hair's not that bad, you're just blind"

"I'm the blind one??" He facepalmed. "A hair is literally sticking out from the back of your head. Fix it or you're going to look more like a cockatoo than a human"

   "Why you-"

   "Oh come here!"

With a roll of his eyes, Jeonghan reached out for Joshua's hand and pulled him towards him. All this happened so fast the black haired male had no time to react.

"Jeez," Jeonghan sighed as he fixed his hair. "It hasn't even been that long since we got here and you're already all messed up. How much have you been moving around to have your hair looking like this?"

With a frown evident on his face, Jeonghan went from looking at Joshua's hair to his face expecting an answer. However, he was instead met with widened doe eyes that instantly captivated him.

"I-I don't know" Joshua slightly blushed because of his stutter and pushed him away. "Let's just..get going, ok?"

Jeonghan looked away and then nodded.

He then headed to the right as Joshua scramed to the left. But as they went different ways, the beating in his heart didn't seem to cease. With a frown, Jeonghan placed a hand on his lips and then stopped in his tracks. A red hue soon made its way to his cheeks.

The expression on the younger's face, the way his eyes twinkled, all of it had been engraved in his head. And for some reason, Jeonghan couldn't get the image out of it.

   He sighed.

Jeonghan ever expected for that giant idiot to be so adorable.
