"Bet you didn't see that coming, did you Hosh?"

"Not at all Josh" The trainer giggled as he was being pulled up by the other. "I'm quite surprised though. It's only been a month and you're almost as good as Jeonghan over there"

"As if!" The mafioso shouted from his spot.

It was around 6 pm, an hour after training had begun. The earlier meeting had left both Jeonghan and Joshua speechless; left them in a big trance of awe, since they didn't do anything for the rest of the day apart from eating and watching a movie.

Now, you may be wondering: a movie? Jeonghan and Joshua, the two bickering meatheads, watching a movie together? Did they finally realize just how nice the other could be, or did they have a nice shoujo manga encounter?

Well, not exactly.

As Jeonghan cooked (he was forced to by Joshua), the younger of the two put a movie on the TV. But it's not like they were even watching it. Their heads, Jeonghan's especially, were wandering somewhere else, trying to process all the information given to them and just thinking in general.

Jeonghan, who at one point had completely forgotten about the movie and was driven into a reverie, couldn't help but ask: just what the hell happened to me?

He'd initially began with a standoffish attitude, but now it was as if he'd had a whole makeover.

Was it because he was in a safe environment? Or was it because he was finally doing what he had always wanted to do?

As much as the mafioso didn't want to admit it, the answer was probably the latter. After all, he had wished to stop killing people long ago.

The laughter coming from the center of the court broke him out of his thoughts, however, and unwillingly brought him back to the present.

The present...He thought. It was currently the time period he wished he could stay in forever.

"What would this make it? 10 to 2?" Joshua chuckled. "I'm slowly catching up to you Hosh"

"In your dreams" Hoshi responded with a scoff. "Say that when you're able to finish five rounds of running around the court"

"That is humanly impossible and you yourself know that" Joshua scoffed. "Oh, Hoshi, I forgot to mention, you have really beautiful eyes, has someone ever told you that?"

"Think that'll get you out from running around the track, huh?" He smirked. "Remember our bet Joshua, you lose, you run. But because I'm nice I'll let you out of this one, ok?"

"Gee, thanks"

Out of nowhere, a high pitched tune began playing.

Startled, Hoshi ran over to the bench where his phone was located and looked at the caller. Narrowed eyes met the screen and a serious expression soon decorated his face.

"Let's end it for today, ok? I have..something important to take care of"

"Sure, see you tomorrow"

"Bye Hoshi"

The younger then hurriedly excited the court, leaving behind an oblivious Joshua and a confused Jeonghan. He had found the reaction of the other rather odd, but, should he even question it? Soonyoung was another agent after all, it was probably just Seungcheol and his annoying ass calling over to him.

Probably.

"Earth to dollface, earth to face, earth to-"

"Yeah yeah, I heard you" Jeonghan sighed. "You don't have to say it so many times you dumbass"

"Excuse you but I'll do it as many times as I want if that gets your attention" Joshua smiled and walked over to him. "What were you even thinking about anyways?"

"Nothing that concerns you"

"Nothing that concerns you" He mimicked. "Spit it doll, if you don't I bet you'll have an annoyingly sour face all day"

"Why you-" But even Jeonghan knew that was the most possible outcome. The other's remark made a slight smile form on his face. And with a sigh, he decided to spill it all to the person who was meant to be his partner. "I've just...been thinking"

"About?"

"Everything. How the people around me aren't psychopathic maniacs. How I've been able to spend the last month or so in a place where the food is handed over to me, a mafioso, without trembling hands" Jeonghan smiled and continued in a whisper. "How I've been given a second chance at life overall"

Stunned by his confession, Joshua decided to remain quiet and listen. He took a seat by the mafioso and placed the water bottle he'd been holding down as the other spoke.

"I know we're doing missions that are a life and death situation. Heck, we're dealing with the Mafia for fuck's shake. I of all people know how dangerous it is to even be near a Mafia boss. And yet," He hesitated. "At times I wish time would just stop and let me stay here for a bit longer. Because, to be honest, I've never experienced this much tranquility in my life."

"My demons..the flooded head with useless thoughts hasn't been drowning me lately..And as much as I don't want to," Jeonghan let his head fall on Joshua's shoulder and closed his eyes. "I can't help but wish to stay like this forever, together with you"

The action, the words, it all had caught Joshua by surprise. Yet, as much as he may nag about Jeonghan or talk shit about him, Joshua just couldn't pull away.

Instead, he reached out for Jeonghan's hand and began to play with the others fingers as a way of comfort. Because he knew that although Jeonghan may look calm on the outside, may act like a brat at times, in the inside he was deeply suffering.

Joshua, he just knew this, and Jeonghan knew the other had noticed.

"I don't hate you Jeonghan" Joshua whispered.

The words made the mafioso smile. "I don't hate you either, love."

Carefully, Jeonghan entangled his fingers with Joshua's and brought the hands up to eye level. The action made Joshua's breath hitch and decorated his cheeks with a rosy pink.

"In fact, I think I might have started liking you without me knowing"
