The moment both inmates stepped back into their dorm, Jeonghan collapsed onto the bed and almost passed out. The day had been mentally and physically draining, he couldn't begin to imagine how the both Minghao and Seungcheol felt.

He'd been worried for them, more than he'd let on. After all, he thought the two would fight, bite each other's necks and end the day with a bloody puddle. When Cheol explained to them they'd talked it out, solved their differences and, although shakily, ended up on good terms, Jeonghan couldn't help but breathe out a sigh of relief.

That was the greatest thing they'd heard all day.

“Are you going to shower?”

Joshua whispered as he entered the room. His hair was a mess, his tie was crooked and his eyes looked tired beyond belief. Jeonghan, who had a similar appearance, raised his head and stared at the other before laying it back down with a soft thud.

“Don't feel like it”

The freak tsked. “Then go to your room, you're dirtying my sheets”

“Don't wanna”

Joshua frowned. “Dollface”

“Love,” He replied.

“I swear, if I find you lying there once I get out of the shower we'll eat mushrooms for dinner”

“Sucks for you I'm into that shit”

With a mere roll of his eyes, Joshua stepped into the bathroom and left Jeonghan alone with the all-consuming silence. He had no energy left to think, no energy at all, so he decided to merely focus on the smell of cheap cologne that swam in the room. The scent comforted him, and slowly, he began to doze off as the sun rays turned into a purple hue.

Then, out of nowhere, a loud knock thundered across the dorm. Jeonghan raised his head, annoyed, and lazily sat up. The loud knocking continued which elicited a curse from the mafioso. It wasn't until he finally stood up and opened the front door that the knocking stopped. Carat, Chans's trusty robot and companion, was behind the sudden commotion. It held a letter on one of its robotic hands, which Jeonghan took without much interest. After that, he closed the door on the robot's face, then plopped himself down onto the couch. He tore the letter open and immediately regretted doing so.

Bold letters angrily stared back at him; they formed a sentence he didn't dare read.

Yoon Jeonghan

….death penalty…

APPROVED

His heart dropped.

“Jeonghan?! Who was it?!”

Joshua's voice startled him. He immediately hid the letter in his suit pocket and shakily replied:

“It was just Carat! They…mistook the room for another!”

“Oh, ok!” Joshua answered, unaware of the panic that began to form deep inside him.

Jeonghan didn't fear death, he embraced it. He knew it was the rightful punishment for someone like him. But, after meeting Joshua, after finding out that he could do more than harm others, the mafioso couldn't help but feel an ounce of disappointment. Because he finally found something to look forward to, another reason to wake up everyday. And now, he'd never be able to experience the flutter of butterflies ever again.

Saddened, the mafioso hurried towards his room, eager to get in the shower and drown on his own sorrow.

Since Joshua couldn't find out about this, Jeonghan hid the letter under his pillow and quickly undressed.

He wanted some alone time before facing his love once again.
