A cold breeze entered the room, circling around and exiting out the vents. Rei and Kuromura sat in an empty, white training room, opposite one another avoiding eye contact. Their silence spoke thousands of words, Kuromura too scared to even look at Rei. Rei stuck in his own head trying to find a plan to escape.
"You know, I didn't want this right?" Kuromura looked up, finally saying the thoughts rampant in her brain.
"Of course you didn't, wasn't your plan. But you didn't help stop it." Rei looked up towards her.
"He didn't tell me this is what it was!" Kuromura gets up and walks towards Rei.
"Oh so you thought that he was just going to rule the world with sunshines and rainbows?" Rei stands up and faces her.
Kuromura hadn't actually noticed how big Rei could seem when opposing you. He gives off an aura of intimidation. "Well-" Kuromura was cut off by a loud crackle over the speaker.
"Will you two just zip it? The silence was nice." Declan's voiced echoed.
"Fuck off." Rei looked up at the camera and stuck his middle finger up at it. Kuromura couldn't help but give out a little giggle. Rei saw Kuromura giggling and laughed himself. Maybe, they both weren't as tough as they appeared, just maybe the pair that had managed to continue crossing paths had a connection, one that could fix this broken world.
"None of that Takeshi, what would your mother say?" Declan, said trying to use Rei's past against him.
"Fuck off." Rei and Kuromura started laughing once again.
"You are a ripe little shit." The speaker crackled again, indicating that Declan had moved away from the mic. The pair stopped laughing and the room fell silent again, Kuromura went back and sat on the other side of the room.
"Kuromura." Rei walked over and sat next to her.
"Yes Rei?" Kuromura said shyly.
"Don't blame yourself for any of this, not for our past, present or future. Just act on what you think is right and we'll make this world a better place." Rei smiled.
"I can't believe you can still smile after all this." Kuromura rested her head on his shoulder.
"Don't worry one day, I won't. But until then, I'll stay strong." Rei rested his head on hers and the pair fell asleep.
(A Few Hours Later)
Rei woke suddenly, he was freezing. Kuromura was ice cold but breathing still asleep. Rei looked around and noticed they were in the middle of a snowy forest.
"Shit, The Devil must've turned on the simulator while we were out." Rei said to himself quietly standing up and taking off his jacket. He wrapped it around Kuromura and used his shirt as a pillow.
"Fuck it's cold." Rei spoke hushed, looking around of his environment for anything he could use as shelter. Knowing that the rooms automatically hid safety items around, just in case someone was to get stuck inside. As he walked further into the forest he noticed how cold it had started to get, his fingers going white and his body purple. He noticed a single flaming torch further into the forest, "found it."
Running towards the light, he slung to the ground digging the snow with his hands to find anything. A medium sized bag was under the ground. Grabbing it from the hole, he turned back around grabbing the torch and started walking back towards Kuromura.
"Rei...." A distant voice spoke.
"Hello?" The flames glowed off Rei's face, finally warmth.
"STAY DOWN!" A deep voice yelled, echoing through the forest.
"Hello!?" Rei yelled turning back and forth trying to find the source.
"Kill the girl, she has no use." Declan's voice echoed towards Rei.
"Kuromura!" Rei yelled running back to her.
"No, Rei. Help me! Please!" A little girls voice echoed louder then any other. Rei stopped dead in his tracks.
"Sister?..." flashbacks raining through Rei's mind. His head pounded. He kept walking, struggling to breathe.

Hey everyone! Sorry it's been so long, had a break from writing again. Yes i know this was a short chapter and by short i mean... short. Just getting back in the grove, and wanted a chapter purely on the way Kuromura and Rei's emotions and relationship building, as for the end of part 2 is very dependent on it.
