"hyungie? hyungie! hurry up its almost midnigh!!" Kai yelled from the balcony

"im coming kai calm down" Beomgyu chuckled walking out to the balcony

"you almost missed it hyungie" Kai pouted

"relax Kai we have 3 minutes until midnight" Beomgyu said

Kai whined in protest but huffed and grabbed a sparkler "can you light it for me hyungie?" he asked blinking cutely

"of course hueningie~" Beomgyu mocked his cute tone teasingly as he grabbed a lighter and lit the sparkler, colourful bursts of light flickering out almost immediately

Kai quickly began twirling the sparkler about making shapes as he stared fascinated at the colours

Once the sparkler went out Kai whined in disappointment

"hyungie what time is it?" Kai asked

"11:58" Beomgyu said checking his phone

"hyungie" kai practically whispered "can i tell you something?"

"sure huening" Beomgyu said leaning against the railing of the balcony "whats up?" he asked

"so uhm...ever since we first met i feel like a can connect with you more than anyone else and i feel like youre the person i would trust with my life and all my secrets, i really really appreciate everything youve done for me and that you are a part of my life. Even when we've had our useless arguments about stupid things youve always been here for me and i cannot thank you enough for everything, i care for you more than i should hyungie i love you so fucking much, more than i should love a friend, i love you like a lover does i love you so much and i cant keep it in anymore youre so important to me and i want to love you forever, in this life and the next hyungie, i want to shout that i love you from everest i would do anything for you hyungie, i love you Choi Beomgyu"

Beomgyu was silent for a moment before he spoke up "its midnight" he said softly as he pulled Kai close to him

"yea" Kai breathed out his warm breath hitting Beomgyus face

Beomgyu pulled Kai closer to him and cupped his cheeks gently, their lips softly pressed together the soft kiss making both of their stomachs erupt in butterflies as the fireworks went off around them, it was like something out of a cheesy romance movie but it was perfect in every way

"i love you too hueningie" Beomgyu whispered against Kais lips

Kai smiled brightly and kissed Beomgyu again the kiss more exciting and passionate than the first

Tears of happiness slipped past Kais eyes as they kissed his arms wrapping around Beomgyus shoulders

Beomgyu was the first to pull away, he leaned his forehead against Kais as their breath fanned against eachothers faces

"wanna go inside?" Beomgyu asked hazily

"yea" Kai said hurriedly as he pulled away from Beomgyu, eager to get away from the extremely loud fireworks

The two were sat on Kais bed, innocently kissing eachother, each kiss full of love and passion, they could see the longing in eachothers eyes each time they separated

"i love you so much" Kai said softly

"i love you just as much" Beomgyu replied smiling

"happy new year hyungie" Kai smiled

"happy new year baby" Beomgyu said softly kissing Kais lips

my cat is alright, he has to stay in the vet for the next 2 days but he is going to live and hopefully recover quickly, i hope you all enjoyed your new years eve, stay safe and take care of yourselves ily <3
