aaliyah moor

i thought i'd apologize to Taurus the best way i knew how and that was cooking. i would cook him breakfast as if he didn't have people to do that for him.

there was no one here but me and him so i did cook. i made pancakes, bacon, and grits.

"hello?" i heard the front door open and around the corner came an elderly black woman.

"oh hello ma'am." i smile and she smiles back.

"you've already cooked i see."

"yes ma'am." i say shyly.

"that's fine baby, want me to wash for you?"

"no ma'am, i got it." i say but she shakes her head.

"ima do it anyways cause i like you." she smiled at me just like how my grandma use to.

"how you know you like me?"

"just something about your spirit."

"i'm aaliyah, and you are?"

"call me mrs k." she says running dish water.

"i need s tray for Taurus does he have any?"

"in this small cabinet by the fridge." she try's to bend but i just do it instead.

"thank you so much." i say plating the food.

she does it over after me and hers was more aesthetically pleasing.

"go take that up to your man." she giggles.

"not my man mrs k." i shake my head chuckling along.

"your at his house, that's your man." she waves me off with a towel.

i take the tray up and he was sat up on his phone.

"good morning." i say bring the tray to him.

"for me?" he ask.

"yes silly."

"thank you." he says with a smile grazing his lips.

"you're welcome. and i want to apologize for last night i was kind of a bitch, but i'm sorry for that. wasn't exactly how i imagined myself acting my first day out here and if you're ready for me to go, i understand honestly." i say trying not to hide the fact that i was nervous.
