               ----Astrids POV----
The creature standing before me was the scariest grim reaper I'd ever seen. He was old, massive, and covered in scars. One eye was clouded, he only had half a tusk on one side. The red coloring on him was faded to a near brown. If Hiccup was right, this thing would somehow regain it's youth soon. The reaper was massive, towering above me. I heard Heather whimper behind me. Valka had accompanied us. She was staring at the ground. The life seemed to have gone out of her. "You're just in time. They've finally perfected the bond machine. No need to be scared. So long as you obey me, nothing bad will happen  to you or your friend here. Just in case we can't have you thinking about your past life... it would give you a reason to fight. We don't need that." He hissed.

"No! Please! Look i'll use my powers to make you young again if you just let my friend and Valka go. I'll do it right now. And I'll never try to leave here. I will stay the rest of my life if you just let them go! Heather can't even heal things! I'm the only one you want." I bargained with a shaking voice. "No light fury leaves my grasp." The king hissed.

He turned away and flicked a gnarled tail at my captors. They dragged me forward, towards a barred door on my left. I was panicking. I couldn't let their memories or mine be erased... I had to get them out. After some quiet consideration, I knew what I had to do. I managed to get a viscous elbow in the stomach of one of my captors, then flipped over the head of the other I used his own weapon to strangle him and fend off the attack of the other guard. Behind me I heard screams and roars. A loud boom shook the air and a chunk of rock fell from the cieling, missing me and crushing my opponent. The king roared in anger as a brilliant white light fury shot out of the narrow hole, followed by... another? I didnt have time to look. I had to fight. Eventually the remaining guards subdued me. More came flooding in and recieved directions for chasing down the escaping light furies. I screamed in rage as I was hauled through the barred doors. Maybe I would have to lose my memories. But if they had their freedom it would be worth it.

I hated daggur and snotlout at the moment... but I hoped their stupid plan to kill the king would work.

The room I was dragged into had a glowing pattern of lines in the middle. Water ran down the sides of the room. Glowing plant life snaked along the walls, lighting the room in soft bioluminescence. The king came clacking along behind me, mumbling under his breath. I was shoved into the glowing circle and chained down. I groaned and pulled at my shackles, feeling light headed. One of the guards dragged in a shrieking deadly nadder. This one was barely a teenager, pitch black, with deep green markings. She looked at me with strange calm, as if she trusted me to help her. "The nadder dies if you don't heal her." The king hissed, then one of the guards stabbed her underside with a venomous tail. I screamed in horror as she dropped, moaning.

My healing powers leapt from my hands and to her wounds as soon as I got close enough to touch her snout. Then I was pulled away and pinned on the floor. "Return my youth fast enough, and the nadder won't die. If you're not quick and thorough about it we will sting her again." The king snarled. I sobbed and touched the tyrant's scaled brownish snout with my hand. I felt the terrible drain and sickening cold as I reversed his aging, just as he wanted. I had nothing left as he pulled away, roaring in delight. He was louder and far less raspy now.

I was shaking and trying to stay sitting on the floor. This blue circle thing was making my head buzz terribly. I gave the last of what I had to the female nadder, who was barely breathing. I thought I'd escaped further torture by passing out, but I was jolted awake by searing pain in my head. I screamed and grabbed at a cold metal device now pressing into my head. My hands were pulled away and I was held still, hissing and struggling to get the metal thing off my head. It burned and throbbed... I felt wet running down the side of my face. I didn't want to know what it was. Probably my own blood. I caught a glimpse of the nadder I'd healed huddling in the corner, moaning in sorrow.
