It wasn't hate at first sight, but it was far from love at first sight too. Maybe intrigued at first sight was better fitting. Words evaded every grasp I tried. All I could do was feel. I don't think it was quite lust at first sight either.
If you ever laid your eyes on someone for the first time, and you just felt like maybe you sort of knew them? I wasn't aware of it at the time. It would be months, maybe years before I could begin to string these drifting, separate words together. Emotions were never really my forte. As I would find out in due time, they weren't his either.
I think sometimes we were a little too much alike. And yet, we were drawn together like opposite sides of a magnet. No matter how much we struggled against the tides of destiny. Of fate. In a way, our love was something of a modern day Legend.
Far from perfect, sometimes enchanting and a whole lot of infuriating moments. That went more than both ways.
