𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 entering the new year with a renewed sense of purpose. Yes, she is still in 6th year and the stress in likely to become unbearable very soon after entering her first class, but her life has begun to evolve into something delightful. The 11-year-old Jacqueline who was preparing to enter Hogwarts with an unwavering fear that she was not going to make any friends. Blame the pessimism rooted into the young child, but she wasn't even sure she wanted to be at Hogwarts.

Now look at her. Sitting at the Gryffindor table for breakfast with her two closest, alongside Lily and Marlene. And of course the Marauders sit next to them cracking jokes and interrupting when it suits. Jacqueline also saw Kingsley at the feast the night before and had a chat; and spent the night reading with some Hufflepuff girls Amelia Bones and Hestia Jones. Amelia and Faith are surrounded by good friends, and have a good life. Point is, Jacqueline has friends, not only friends, she has life-long companions. Or at least she hopes. So the girl couldn't help but grin in the middle of sipping her tea, at the thought of how far she has progressed since that 11-year-old receiving her Hogwarts letter with dread.

"Now what are you so giddy about Jacqueline" Marlene questions.

"Nothing" She responds, but the grin remains.

Jacqueline couldn't help but remain in a giddy mood all day. It is hard not to when everything is going beyond perfect. Even James and Lily are still getting along, Stress from the overwhelming workload couldn't keep the girl down; going back to her usual routine of studying with Remus and Lily. After a few days, Mary and Dorcas are extremely suspicious.

"Alright, fess up" Dorcas demands, plonking herself on Jacqueline's lap waiting for an answer.

"Yeah Jacky, what is up with you." Mary joins on top of Dorcas.

"What, I can't be smiley?" The girl on the bottom of the pile defends, her words barely meeting their ears.

"So you know you are more smiley than usual" Mary acts like she caught Jacqueline in a lie, brow raised.
