Eloise looked around and down at her watch. "Shit, we have to get to class, the test will start in approximately 20 minutes and 2 seconds. Let's get a move on this," she said eyeing down the door. Imogen pulled her head up and Berlin interlocked her arm with Imogen's. Berlin looked at Tristan and smiled at Eloise and began in French, "Tristan te regarde avec passion, Eloïse." (english translation: "Tristan is looking at you with passion, Eloise"

Tristan narrowed his eyes and replied, "What did she say about me?"

Eloise chuckled and replied, "Arrête, tu sais qu'il regarde même les profs comme ça." (english translation: "Stop it, you know he even looks at teachers like that.")

Tristan said, "Eloise, tell me what she said, because if she said I was smoking hot, it's okay to tell it to my face," he smiled at his own statement, almost with pride flickering in his eye.

"Eloïse, c'est tellement évident qu'il te veut," Berlin says. (english translation: "Eloise, it's so obvious he wants you.") Imogen noticeably rolled her eyes and began in Sundanese, "Tong diomongkeun kitu, komo si goblog mah nyaho yen manehna teh pelacur, meureun reueus." (english translation: "Don't say that, even that dumb shit knows he's a whore, he's probably proud of it.")

Tristan then looked at them all confused and said, "Can we stick to english for my sake please?"

"Fine, we were talking about-," before Imogen could continue, Eloise interrupted and replied, "How stupid you must be to wear those color socks to school, neon green will not only get you a detention but with the school uniform; that should be a crime."

"Well I was in a rush, I had better things to do and see then worry about my socks," Tristan said smirking at Eloise, and Berlin giggled at the rising intensity. Eloise broke off eye contact and started forward, getting to the door and turning to look at the three, "Are you coming?" In a rushed way, you heard "yeahs" and "we have to's" heard, and she held the door until Tristan could hold it.

"Au revoir, love birds," Berlin said and Imogen groaning, disgustedly at. Tristan's face had a smile on it and Eloise caught onto the thought process and began to rush to her locker. Tristan ran behind her and said, "I made an observation about you, Irvine."

He took Eloise's bag and handed her books to put in her locker, Eloise stopped and looked at him, "And what observation would that be, Dugray?"

"Everytime I talk about another girl, you get so tense, you get so uptight. You know, if I weren't your friend, I would think you were jealous of them or we were secretly together," Tristan said so boldly.

Eloise stopped in her tracks and looked at him, formulating a comeback but not able to let it roll of her tongue, so she spat out, "I wouldn't, I would view it as a girl tired of hearing of her friends affairs."

"Hey! They aren't affairs because I'm not married," Tristan said, defensively. Eloise closed her locker and Tristan extended her bag to her, she started walking to the door of the classroom and replied, "Well you better start learning some loyalty."

"I have, oh believe me I have. I'd die for this person and I'd bet everything on that," Tristan said, getting closer to Eloise, "I would bet my house, I would bet my closest relationships," he got closer, "I would do anything for that girl."

He was towering over her and a quick tap was heard on the door window, the teacher motioning for us to come in, and we both followed. Tristan followed right behind her and whispered, "You look pretty, Eloise."

"You look nice today too, Dugray, minus the neon socks." Eloise whispered back to him as she sat herself down, he rested his hand on her desk and whispered back, "Hey, shh, I don't want a detention today."

Eloise giggled and Tristan smiled as he said her face lit up, he started his way to the back and didn't take his eyes off of her.

The test was turned face down on the desk, and the teacher shut the doors, "Okay, you know about all the rules of the test, no cheating and no talking, pretty simple really. The test is to be done strictly in #2 pencil, if you don't have one, I suggest you ask a peer for one now."

Eloise felt something hit her back and she rolled her eyes as she picked up the rolled up piece of notebook paper. She opened it and read out, "You look stressed, don't sweat it, you'll do fine, you always do, Irvine." She smiled as she read this and folded it neatly to stuff back into her satchel. She turned to look at an already looking Tristan and she mouthed "Thank you, Dugray."

He smiled as he shook his head and replied, "Any time, E."

Eloise turned around to see Paris looking at her, "You and Tristan are a thing?"

Eloise rolled her eyes and said with a heartening smile, 'When has Tristan ever just had a thing, he has flings, and I'm not one so you can stop staring me down like I have the test answers on me." Paris laughed and turned to look at the teacher.

"Okay you all may begin."

Twenty minutes before the end of the test, Gilmore bursts into the room, whispering apologies, and walking to her seat.

"Everybody, back to your tests. Ms. Gilmore, you're gonna have to wait in the library," he said following after her.

"But what about the test?" Gilmore asked, sitting down.

The teacher followed her again and replied, "You missed the test. We start class promptly at 8:05, that's when I need people in their seats." The Gilmore girl then began to plead.

"I'm sorry, it's the rules," he replied authoratively.

"But you don't understand," Rory said, "I was up all night studying and then I missed my bus. So I had to drive."

"Let's discuss this outside," the teachers urged.

"I'm driving down this road, and I stop, and I get hit by a deer," she continued, disregarding what he said previously.

She got bits and snippets of what else she said focusing more on my test until she heard Paris whisper loudly, "Loser."

She kicked her seat and Gilmore stooped down to her level, "And just what is wrong with you, huh? You already have everything! You have the grades and the status! What the hell is wrong with you that you have this constant need to be the biggest jerk in the entire world?"

Eloise scoffed at the interruption because she had lost her place in what she was checking and Gilmore got in her face, "And I bet you think this is funny, don't you?"

"First off, get out of my face, and second off, I don't find this or you funny, not in any way actually. I actually find you to be an utterly annoying and ridiculous girl who has no structure," Eloise then went back to the previous question, remembering going over it and the teacher told Gilmore, "Okay, let's go."

She got back in Eloise's face and said, "I don't have structure? You think you're entitled to this school!"

"You lack the discipline of a person who earned their own path into this world, I feel no entitlement but I do have pride, enough pride to respect myself as well as others, and again for the last time, back up!" Eloise stared her down as the Gilmore girl backed up and screamed something not worth listening to at Tristan.

Eloise continued to eye the test.

Discipline in oneself was the key to success. Eloise always had this discipline within herself and she learned to tweak it up with every comment, compliment, critique. Some would call this her front, but it was easier to hide behind something you believe to be the only good thing about you, the only memorable thing.
