Eloise held her close to herself and smiled through Geller's hair which rested softly on her face. They both let go and Paris looped her arm with Eloise's and the two began to walk, Eloise looked to Paris and said, "If you're not busy tonight, maybe you could come over?"

Paris smiled then her smile faded as she said, "I would, but my mother has plans for me tonight with my uncle, he's a law major, and considering it could be an option, I have to get to know the field, I guess." Eloise laughed and then replied, "It's no big deal, we can raincheck it." Paris and Eloise walked through the school doors and Paris was honked at, spooking the both of them, Paris stopped in front of Eloise and said, "I have to get going, but you can call me anytime."

Eloise smiled and said, "I will start." Paris smiled at this and scrambled into the black car, her mother wearing sunglasses smiled at Eloise, and went off. Eloise smiled and looked to the side to see Berlin with her boyfriend and Imogen tagging along, a frown sitting on her face.

Eloise walked towards them and Berlin smiled and gave her air kisses as she began to talk to the advisor of Brown University with her boyfriend, rolling his eyes at her. Eloise narrowed her eyes at him as she realized they might have gotten into a fight again like they had every day for the last 2 years. Sometimes Eloise wondered why Berlin even stayed with him. Imogen locked eyes with Eloise. Eloise decided that she'd call Berlin as she was bothered with seeing Imogen after she left her alone on the train. She turned on her heel before being stopped with a hand holding on to her shoulder. She turned around to see Imogen looking at the floor already.

"I know you hate me but it's bothered me for the past few days that you haven't called or anything, when you usually do," Imogen muttered. Eloise looked at her hurt and said, "You're worried about a stupid call when you left me on the train by myself?"

"No, I'm worried about us, E," Imogen said, her fingers fidgeting with her jeans. Eloise scoffed at this and said, "Well, you could have called, the phone works on your end, doesn't it?"

Imogen looked down and replied, "Yeah, but I was trying to make you realize it was a mistake, but you know you, once you have your mind set on something, you won't stop. You never have, and I wasn't going to hold you back because there would be no use, E."

Something in those words hit Eloise like a rock. "Hm," Eloise looked at her nails and continued, "well consider it water under the bridge. Bye now." Eloise pivoted and started walking in the direction of her house, but stopped as she heard, "That's it."

"What else do you want me to say, Imogen? Thank you for the not said apology," Eloise shrugged her shoulders and continued walking. Her walking turned into stomps and before she knew it she was home. She walked in and slammed the front door, she removed her shoes and put them into the shoe cabinet.

No one was home, not even Javon. She walked to the stairs but stopped at the first step as the phone rang. Eloise slid her way to it on the shiny wood floors and answered with, "Hello?"

"Hey Lou, where's your mom?" a voice spoke into the phone. The only person who has ever called her Lou, was her dad. "Mom's not here, why?"

"I'm in jail right now, everything's okay, don't worry, ok? But I need someone to get me out," he spoke softly. Eloise felt her lip quiver and replied, "Hm. I'll let her know now."

"Hey, don't be mad, it was a little misunderstanding, it's going to be cleared once your mom comes," he said.

"What are you charged with?" Eloise spoke.

"It's nothing big, Lou. Just tell your mom to come," Eloise stood and looked at the wall and heard then, "Okay?"

"Sure, but you better realize know, you ruin our reputations with the shit you're doing, you'll ruin our image, ruin Javon and I's chance to get into good colleges and the chance to see us be successful, so you better get your act together. I'll call mom now," she replied.

"Hey now, you better cut that cursing shit out because I am still your father, Eloise," he said.

"Hm," she said, "welp." She ended the call, slamming the phone back into it's port. Her mother stood in the opening of the kitchen, holding onto her long jacket and looking at Eloise, saying, "Is it your dad?"

Eloise looked at her mom and replied, "He's in jail right now, he needs you to bail him out."

"Well, I'll be damned, he's probably in for another DUI," she said, with a forced chuckle, trying to lighten the mood.

Eloise started laughing at this and tears started dwelling in the corners of her eyes, and the laughs turned into sobs and the standing turned into kneeling defeated, and the cold turned into warmth as her mother kneeled with her, embracing her. Eloise felt so defeated, in a way, she just couldn't put into words the disappointment she always felt within herself for letting her parents drift so far and the disappointment that she couldn't stop these bad habits.

Her mother let go her and helped her up, wiping the tears from her face with her hand, her mother had tears dwelling in her eyes, not nearly going over the surface. She smiled at Eloise and Eloise just stared until she smiled as her mother did.

"I'm so sorry, mom," Eloise muttered out, her mother brought her into her chest and replied, "No, Ellie, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

They both let go and let out a little laugh at the two of them and her mother started for the door, only to let in Javon.

Javon had a little smile on his face as he saw Eloise's mom and behind him was Tristan. Eloise looked at the two, puzzled and Elizabeth (Eloise's mom) closed the door.
