Tristan switched the TV to some random football game and turned back as the door closed. He stood up and waited for her to come from the foyer. She finally emerged and he walked over to her, his hands behind his back, and he stood in front of her.

"So, what do we do now?" Tristan asked, looking into her eyes. Her eyes flickered to the kitchen as the oven dinged.

"Well I made dinner for three, but I suppose two could do. Would you stay?" Eloise asked with a smile on her face.

"How could I turn you down, E?" Tristan asked.

Eloise let out a laugh and went to the kitchen to take the cinnamon buns out, and Tristan went to the record player that was displayed in the living room. He let the stem hit the record and Something Stupid 's instrumental filled the air (the video is attached above for reference if you can't imagine it).

Eloise looked up from the cinnamon buns that she placed on the island, and saw Tristan swaying his head to the song and then his voice burst, singing out together the lyric, "I know I stand in line until you think you have the time to spend an evening with me..." Tristan let his body sway, pulled Eloise from behind the counter, and pulled her into him. He placed one hand on her waist and the other into her hand, he started sloppily ballroom dancing with the sharp Latin flares in each turn and spinning her around, not even lining up with the music, causing Eloise to laugh so much, she slipped to the floor. She drew her knees into her chest still laughing hard, her lower back hitting the floor from her hearty chuckles, and with her moving her leg out, the laughing Tristan fell to the floor, which caused more laughter to erupt.

Half of Tristan's face was resting on the floor, his hand resting near the middle of his ribcage, his stomach withdrawing from the floor because of how hard he was laughing and smiling. The two were curled up facing each other, and when Tristan's expression softened, Eloise's softened her laugh to a smile. They were close enough for Tristan to use his pinky to flick some loose hair from her face, that fell to rest on her nose; after, he let his finger slide down to her jaw and then rest on the floor near her face.

Both their eyes stayed on each other and Tristan asked, practically holding his breath, "Could I stay here tonight?"

Eloise held the same expression as him and replied with a laugh, "Why ask when you would stay no matter what I say?"

Tristan laughed but returned to the same awe. "I'm in love with her." Tristan thought.

Eloise laughed and looked at his awe-struck face, and furrowed her face as she had done nothing extraordinary, "Did you see a unicorn or something? Why are you looking at me like that?"

He smiled and got up, not answering her, to see the cinnamon buns and put out his hand to help Eloise up, when she got up, he started walking to the warmed food. Eloise took her time to regroup while Tristan was already behind the island. He flashed a glance at her again.

"I love Eloise Irvine, not love, but in love with Eloise." Tristan thought. Eloise saw the quick glance at herself and furrowed her eyebrows again, "Keep looking at me funny and I'm going to punch your face in."

Tristan replied with, a smirk resting on his face as his head tilted from the left to the right, "No, you wouldn't."

Eloise stepped closer, "Oh, but I would."

The closeness between the two let them share a breath with each other, and Tristan let his smirk widen into a smile as he looked over the time, it was 12:09 AM.

Eloise looked over and her eyes widened, "We have to sleep, why didn't you tell me the time? I'll be asleep in class." She was quick with her movement and put the cinnamon buns in the fridge and started dragging Tristan up the stairs with her. "But I wanted one," Tristan complained.

Tristan and Eloise both clutched their arms as they walked upstairs, Eloise's teeth started chattering a bit, and Tristan went to look at the thermostat.

It was set to 43°F, and Tristan let out a, "What the hell?" He flicked the thermostat and nothing changed, then he tried increasing the temperature, but nothing worked. Eloise watched on and said, "Come on," motioning to the guest bedroom right beside hers.

He rolled his eyes as he wanted to lay with her, but he was so cold, he just ran into the room. Eloise went into hers and went straight to the bathroom, quickly brushing her teeth and washing her face. She braided her hair after she oiled it and laid down. It was 12:30 by the time she settled in. She lay there and wondered what Tristan was doing at the moment, it was 1:25 AM, and that's all she could think about.

A knock hit her door and she heard a voice say, "E?"

She recognized the undertone of the voice and said, "Come in." Tristan opened the door and stood there, walking to her bed, "I thought you'd be asleep by now."

"No, I was thinking."

"Would you care to enlighten me on what you were thinking about, because I can't sleep," Tristan said, as he laid himself down next to her, placing himself under the covers, and putting an arm behind his head.

"Nothing much, just thinking," Eloise said, letting her head fall in his direction, "why can't you sleep?"

Tristan shook his head to signal he didn't know either but he knew. He could hear Eloise thinking. Her little taps on her nightstand, the moving on the bed, the flicking of her bed frame, he could hear it all.

He looked in her direction and she turned away, saying, "We should get sleep."

It was now 1:57 AM and Eloise hadn't heard Tristan in a bit. She couldn't get out of her head and she was cold, even with the cover on.

A cold hand slid down her waist, and she felt Tristan's body press into hers.

"I could feel you shivering and I'm cold too," Tristan said as he pressed her body closer to him and his head rested on the back of her neck and the pillow.

Eloise put her hand over the hand he draped over her and gave it a hug inwards.

"Eloise?" Tristan asked, groggily.

"Yes, Tristan?"

"What do you think about that keeps you up like this?", his breath was felt on her neck, even if he whispered it.

"Everything," Eloise said, her eyes staring into the dark room's windows' shutters that let snippets of light in, knowing everything tonight was just him.

"Me too, Eloise, me too," she felt his mouth thin into a line.

But soon, his body relaxed into hers and her body curled more into his, and they dozed off.
