Dumbledore smiled smugly.
Dumbledore: Yes, Cornelius. We can.
He said, wiping the smile off Fudge's face.

Then, to Y/N's surprise, Mrs Figg got in, and gave her side of the story.

But Fudge was still unconvinced.
Fudge: Your story isn't of any use to us, Miss. You have just described the effects that Dementors cause on people. As much as we know, you could've just read them in a book.
He said.

Dumbledore: Yet they were there. As much as you try your best to deny it, it's clear that the Ministry is slowly losing control over them, and you know why it's happening.
He said.

Then, he took a few steps forward, looking at Fudge with pleading eyes.

Dumbledore: I'm begging you, Cornelius. You-Know-Who is back, you have to believe me.
He pleaded.

Fudge fiercely looked at him.
Fudge: He-is-not-back!
He hissed venomously.

Dumbledore sighed.
Dumbledore: Very well. Following the law, and the rules of Hogwarts, you cannot expel Y/N, just because he was trying to protect himself.
He said.

Fudge: Laws can be changed, Dumbledore.
He hissed.

Dumbledore scoffed.
Dumbledore: Yes, because it's become common use, here at the Ministry, to change laws following one's desires! Look at yourselves! You are processing a child!
He said, putting his hands on his hips, and looking at everyone.

Then, after a few moments of silence, a woman spoke.

Woman: How many of you agree to expel Mr Potter?
She asked.

Fudge and a few others raised their hands.

Woman: How many... Agree to aquit Mr Potter from all charges?
She asked.

Everyone else raised their hands.

Fudge: Aquitted from all charges.
He gloomily said.

Y/N turned around to look at Dumbledore, but he was already gone.

Even if he had won, he still felt somehow sad.
It was the first time Dumbledore didn't even look at him.

Y/N: Did I do something wrong to make him angry?
He thought, leaving the room.

When he arrived back in Grimmauld Place, Fred, George and Ginny improvised some kind of tribal dance, singing 'He won!' on loop, as they grabbed their hands, jumping up and down.

Mrs Weasley went to scold them, as Y/N sat between Lupin and Sirius.

Y/N: Ok, I have to admit it. Maybe I've been... A little rough with Fudge.
He muttered.

Lupin, Sirius and Harry looked at him, raising a brow.

Lupin: What have you done?
He asked.

Y/N: I... Uh... Maybe I... Threatened him. A little.
He said, shrugging.

Y/N: No, I definitely threatened him.
He added.

Sirius and Harry were trying their best not to laugh.

Lupin: Oh God, what did you tell him?
He asked exasperatedly.

Y/N: 'Stop me one more time, and you'll regret it'.
He said.

Lupin facepalmed, and Harry almost fell from his chair, laughing.

Lupin: You're hopeless.
