The door opened, and Sirius got in.

Sirius: So, a little bird told me that someone called Y/N Potter has set Dolores Umbridge's office on fire.
He said, amused.

Y/N chuckled a little.
Y/N: I just followed your advice.
He said.

Harry: He was sad she wasn't there, though.
He said, laughing.

Lupin: Alright, you three. Y/N needs to distract himself. Let's go and put some Christmas decorations.
He said, grabbing their hands, and leading them outside.

They spent the whole day decorating the house, together with the Weasleys.

Sirius was really happy to have guests for Christmas.

As days went by, Mr Weasley kept healing.

As for Y/N, he kept spending his days with Lupin, or just passing some time with Buckbeak.

After sorting things out with Lupin, he had decided to avoid everyone, even Harry.

He usually ate alone, and never really talked to anyone.

Y/N: It'll be fine. This is necessary. If it gets worse, I'll just put them in danger.
He kept thinking, as he gave Buckbeak another dead mouse.

He petted the creature.
Y/N: I'll see you later.
He muttered, as he left the room.

He headed to his room, and looked at the calendar on the wall.

Y/N: Oh. Tomorrow's Christmas, and Mr Weasley will be discharged from the hospital. Great.
He thought, as he laid down on the best.

Y/N: This is for the best.
He thought, slowly drifting to sleep.

The next day, he woke up to find no one in the room. He could see a small pile of presents near his bed.

He opened them all, and then put them all inside his trunk.

Then, someone knocked on the door.
Y/N just stared at it, without saying a word.

Then, the door slowly opened, and Harry, Ron and Ginny got in.

He looked at them.

Ginny: So? Are you planning to sit there all day?
She asked, raising a brow.

Ron: Yeah, come on, Y/N! Everyone's waiting for you!
He said.

Y/N slowly shook his head.
Y/N: It's ok, you don't need to worry about me. I'd probably end up ruining the mood.
He said.

Harry: Y/N, why are you avoiding us?
He asked.

Y/N: I'm not avoiding you.
He said defensively, as Ginny scoffed.

Ginny: Oh, please! You've been avoiding everyone since we got here!
She said.

Harry: Is it for what Lupin told you?
He asked.

Y/N: Listen, things are bound to get worse, ok? It's already started, and I don't want to hurt anyone.
He said.

Ginny: And do you really think that locking yourself up in a room, avoiding every contact with everyone, will help?
She asked.

Y/N: No, but-
He tried to say, but she cut him off.

Ginny: Y/N, listen to me. We're friends. You always helped us, so we want to do the same. But we can't help you, if you keep avoiding us. If things get worse, we'll figure something out. But you don't need to carry this burden alone!
She said.

Y/N looked at them.
Y/N: I'm sorry.
He said.

Ron: Don't be, Y/N.
He said.

Harry: Let's go, now. Everyone's waiting for us.
