"only till the power comes back"

i already know why he's asking me to stay, so its pointless to ask him. he's been scared of the dark eversince i've known him, and being alone would probably scare him more. i shouldn't care but im not really harming anything by just staying so whatever i guess.

"sure, thank you" he replied.

"have you eaten anything? i'm hungry. did the chef cook anything before leaving?"

"i dont know, no one was there when i came back"

"oh.. ill order something" i said as i pulled my phone out.

"its about to die, lets just go out? maybe the power will be back by the time we return"

"its late, i dont think we should go" i sighed. i do have a idea but i'm really lazy. but then again he's right, my phone barely has any battery and i should save it in case something more urgent comes up. "okay, i think theres some food like instant ramen downstairs in the kitchen, lets get that."

"what? why do you wanna go out? its so dark.. why is your place so big?? what if-"

"starve here then, because i'm gonna go" i cut him off and started getting off his bed, he called my name but i ignored it, and he came following me out soon. always works

i used my phone's flashligt to quickly rush down the stairs, "come down quickly im turning the light off!" i yelled at hyunjin who was nervously trying to walk down the steps carefully, using both hands to hold the handrail.

"if i die its on you" he took in a breath and quickly ran down his steps yelling over nothing.

i ignored him as i put off my phone and continued walking through the living room to find the shelf with the flashlight. going into the kitchen completely dark isn't the best idea.

"i found it!" i said as i grabbed the flash out and put it on. it probably hasn't been used in a long time so its all dusty. are the cleaners not doing their job? oh well, as long as it works i guess.

"the light makes it scarier. your house is literally perfect for a horror movie" he said as he rubbed his hands together and followed me in to the kitchen again.

"you're not going to die if you walk a little farther you know" i said as i turned back to face him, he's literally walking in my steps.

he shrugged slightly, i shook my head and got some cup ramen out. we got some cup ramen and decided to just finish eating here before going upstairs again. once we were done i grabbed the light which was thankfully still working, and started walking upstairs.

"the power isnt back yet" hyunjin said when we reached upstairs. "i know, ill give mom a call tomorrow. she's probably asleep right now." i replied.

"where are you sleeping?" he asked as we walked towards our rooms. "look, i know i said i'd stay till the power comes back, but i'm really sleepy." i said and entered my room.

"we can sleep together." he said and followed me into the room, "just sleep" he quickly added.

i gave him a weird look, "no thank you, i'm not sleeping with a boy, especially on the same bed"

"your bed is big enough to fit three more people" he said as he jumped on my bed. true theres alot of space between us, but still. im used to taking up that space.

"excuse me? privacy. if you wanna sleep here, there's plenty of floor"

"we've slept together before" he said, giving me a wink. i scoffed, i knew what he was referencing. "no we haven't, we just passed out together by mistake, nothing else." i answered, we were having a movie night when our parents were out and both got carried away by sleep, that was years ago.
