It took Emil awhile to look at anyone, even Leon, after the incident. Leon had made sure Yao kept a reasonable distance from both of them and didn't talk to his elder at all anymore. Leon stated up for hours each night to make sure Emil was safe until he'd feel a tug at his robes telling him to rest. "C'mon, he do this every night. There's a servant out there so we're fine," the boy mumbled sleepily, "please get some sleep, I want to feel your heart beat against me." And so the taller held him close and kissed his head gently.
"For you I will sleep," he whispered as he curled up with him and had a peaceful sleep for once.
