A/N: I have zero idea how Broadway works so bear with me here.

It's also just now hitting me that I uploaded a chapter on Wednesday and wasn't supposed to. *facepalm* oops. You guys get one extra chapter this week I guess.

Tech rehearsals were absolutely hectic. McKayla felt like she was running around like a chicken with its head cut off. She didn't even have time to begin to think about Chris or anything else, really.

It was kind of difficult doing the choreography and blocking McKayla had learned with all of the costumes she had to wear, but she got the hang of it pretty quickly. It was very fun for her to do. She absolutely loved it. She was going to miss it when she took her break from performing.

Then, finally, the day arrived. Opening night. McKayla was nervous as ever, as she basically was the show tonight. However, she was excited and eager to get out on stage.

While McKayla was getting her hair and makeup done and getting into her costume, Sophie walked up to one of the security guards near the dressing rooms. Sophie holds up her pass to the guard.

"Hello." She greets.

"Ah, you're Miss McClain's mother. What can I do for you?"

"Well, McKayla's getting ready; but she told me to tell you that there's another name we'd like to add to our list. Surely you can do that for the star of the play?"

"I suppose. What's the name?"

"Christopher Cerulli. He'll be watching from the audience tonight but we told him to drop by McKayla's dressing room after the show. You should be able to recognize him pretty quickly. He's got three lip piercings, drawn on eyebrows and his neck is tattooed."

The guard raises an eyebrow.

"I'm not kidding." Sophie says.

The guard blinks, "Okay then. Cerulli. How do you spell that?"

"C-E-R-U-L-L-I." Sophie says, "Thank you. McKayla will be so happy." Sophie says before walking off.

It was the most nerve-wrackingly wonderful experience. Phantom of The Opera was a big show, so there were certainly high expectations. However, McKayla felt like she did a great job. All of her hard work and dedication to her craft had led up to this and it had certainly paid off; she'd earned this.

When the show was over though, it was like a big weight had been lifted off of McKayla's shoulders and she was relieved the hard part was over. She was eager to do it again the next night.

"You did so great!" Sophie exclaims. They were now back in McKayla's dressing room after the show. McKayla had changed out of her costume and had now taken out her hair extensions.

"You really think so?" McKayla asks.

"Yes! I'm very proud of you." Sophie says, hugging McKayla.

There's a knock on the door and they break the embrace. McKayla was confused. She wasn't expecting anyone. Sophie just smiles.

"Come in!" She calls.

In walks the last person McKayla expected to see tonight: Chris. He was wearing a suit and only had eyebrows on for makeup. In his hand, he held a bouquet of white roses.

"Flower delivery for Kayla McClain." He says with a smile.

McKayla's mouth falls open and she simply stands there in shock. Sophie smiles and steps forward.
