"So, we're meeting up for coffee today. I'm excited...and nervous." McKayla says to Sophie, who she was on the phone with.
"I'm sure you are. Is it a date?"
"I don't think so. I think it's just innocent coffee."
"Well, nevertheless, I think you should tell him how you feel."
"What?! No!"
"Why not?"
"Because I want things to go well today. I'm not gonna risk scaring Chris off by telling him that I'm still in love with him."
"He's made it obvious he still has feelings for you."
"Maybe so. But I want to take things a bit...slow."
"Well what's the fun in that?"
"You're not helping."
They talked a little while longer, then hung up. McKayla put on a Batman shirt, a leather jacket, a pair of faded jeans - not skinny jeans though; McKayla hated skinny jeans - and converse. She also wore the charm bracelet from her brother. She wore her hair down and made sure her tattoo was covered. She would hate for Chris to see that.

McKayla walked into Starbucks, teenage memories flooding her mind. Her eyes searched a moment then found Chris, his back to her. Even the back of his head was tattooed. That had to hurt. Seeing him gave McKayla butterflies though.
McKayla quickly gets her coffee, then walks over and sits across from him, "Hey."
Chris smiles, "Hey."
Chris looked looks her up and down. Her hair was shorter - about shoulder length now. Her face was a bit more defined. She certainly had a dancer's body - not in the sense that she was super crazy thin; but more that she certainly seemed to be...fit.
"Like what you see?" McKayla asks, bringing Chris out of his thoughts.
Chris laughs, "I just remembered that in New York, I said you looked exactly the same; but I do notice some differences now."
"Differences in me? What about you? You're voice is lower, you're taller, you're scrawnier - "
"Hey!"
"Your hair is all long and black and half of it is shaved off and you've got a shit ton of tattoos; you have the vertical labret now, you're drawing on your eyebrows, you're really lanky now, you - "
"Okay, okay, I've probably changed the most appearance wise."
They laugh and get some coffee, then continue talking.
Chris looks down at himself, then looks back up, "I'm not that scrawny."
McKayla laughs, "Okay, you're not scrawny." (A/N: Let's face it, in the fetus days, Chris was pret-ty scrawny. Even today he's still very...lanky.)
"So when you guys were in New York, you were filming the 'Abigail' video, right? I saw it when it came out. It was good."
"Thank you. I think we're going to at least start planning our next video some time soon."
"Wow, that's cool."
"Yeah. Hopefully this one won't be as difficult."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, the filming of the video actually intruded the filming of some Justin Timberlake movie. It was filming in the alley right outside the building we were in and the music apparently disturbed them. They tired to shut us down, but they ended up just sending a crew guy up with a walkie-talkie so we could film in between takes."
