One day, you and Johan decided to be peaceful with each other. It's Sunday so there's an unspoken rule between you both that you'll just hang out and complain each other's ears off.
And so here you are, laying down the large empty space somewhere only you both knew. Johan quite literally was plopped down as he leaned against your arm, he's feeling lazy and the fact he's half sitting and half laying down is the proof. He didn't even have his cloak with him. Somehow you could tell he just teleported away the moment he got ready with his day. Even if the people comes and find him, they wouldn't able to. His mana leaves no trace whatsoever.
His mana type could be very convenient sometimes.
"I hate moments like this. I want to cause chaos right now." You said with a tsk. You're being chained down by doing these peaceful things when you wanted nothing to fight with him. But you kind of had gotten used to it when Johan continously said no to fighting every Sunday.
Despite hearing your complain, Johan didn't speak, the only thing that answered was the silent peaceful breeze that tousled his hair as he stayed there unmoving. You couldn't quite tell what he's thinking. He's been more quiet these days. You didn't mind that he didn't answer and only waited for him to speak another nonsense.
"What will you do if you were born human?" A few minutes of silence that went to his mulling, he finally spoke. You raised your eyebrow, if you have one, being a Dragon and all. Johan has always have been logical but just what kind of irrational shit is he spouting now?
"What kind of ridiculous question is that?" You said but he said nothing again, ever the serious guy. Knowing he won't speak until you answer, you decided to do so. You know that if you don't, he can last up to weeks of not talking until you answer him. Based on experience my friends. And so you said-
"Of course I'll court you." You said, winking. Instead of being flustered, Johan only rolled his eyes and replied lamely-
"Yeah sure." He said and another moment of silence went on. Until your curiosity came forth to know his answer.
"You? If you're a Dragon." You asked, looking forward to hearing his answer.
"Hmm. I don't know, probably the same as you." He replied without any hesitation and that almost caught you off guard. You can't quite see what he looks like right now, you don't know if he's joking or not. Either way, it's just once a blue moon to hear him do so.
"Ooh, Johan returning my flirting? Has someone replaced my favorite human while I'm not looking?" You teased, laughing. You heard him let out a chuckle at your words. You can't tell if it's your flirting or just how impossible your words are.
"That's impossible." You both know that nothing can go against you or him other than you two. It's a rivalry thingy, you won't let each other be beaten by someone else other than Johan or you. It's quite funny. That's probably why he's laughing.
"But, if I'm human. I'll probably still cause chaos and fight you." You added with a teasing tone, moving your arm but he didn't move and just let himself lay completely down on the grass.
"Sure." Came his usual one-word replies. At this point he's just staring at the clear blue skies.
"And if you're a dragon, I'll just burn you to crisps." You let yourself entertain the impossible thought.
"And yet, I'm a human you still haven't killed." He responded, the way he's just there relaxing in front of a chaotic Dragon could already prove his statement. Even if you tried to kill him at that moment, he would've countered within milliseconds.
"That's because you're interesting hmm." You both let that hang in the air.
Those were one of the moments you remembered quite well despite more than a hundred years (you can't really remember anymore) having passed. That's because that's the conversation you had before you first turned human. And no, that's not when you became cursed. It's another occurrence altogether.
