After just flying around to feel your freedom with a whooping Charlotte and a deflating Elijah, you finally went back to the agreed place of meeting with the Archmage. You couldn't really care less if you had kept him waiting, you were enjoying and exploring the places you weren't able to explore again after years of isolation. It was nostalgic to see the vast land yet alienated to see how much had changed but you tried to shake the feeling off as you focused on what's ahead.
The place you wanted to go is a familiar scenery. It's where you couldn't destroy anything other than a few trees and grass, a vast green land that you could roll around even with your huge form. The people you had passed while making your journey, they're cautious of you, of course you committed lots of grave sins against them, one of them was abusing their former Emperor and killing their former precious Archmage too.
By the way some people stared - glared - at you when you flew by, you think some of them hadn't forgiven you for what you have done. Understandable, you're a Dragon after all, one that has lots of negative stereotypes in them. Not like none of them was true, perhaps it couldn't be called as stereotype anymore but nothing to be true instead.
You know that pretty much most of the people had used your name to threaten their children to sleep, you're pretty sure some novels that had been written where a Dragon is the villain could be even inspired by you. Not the typical princess kidnapping Dragon, that's your neighbor alright, you're talking about the badass kicking majestic beautiful smart genuis gorgeous villain of a Dragon.
To the others it could be an insult but don't worry, you didn't care about them at all, they could hate all they want. Instead it gave more fame to your name despite not being an active villain for the past years. Wow that made it sound like being a villain is your job. Not that it already is.
"Can we go over there?" You heard Charlotte say, referring to the vast empty land. You nodded before descending, that's where you're going anyway. So you descended indeed, with a speed that Elijah became more and more increasingly anxious and gripped for dear life. Charlotte was the opposite, never minding the violent wind and spread her arms high to the air.
Sometimes you had the inkling she'd love getting the same treatment of being thrown up in the air like Freddy did.
As soon as you landed, Elijah had already rolled away from your back and to the grass, landing with an oomph. Looks like he'd rather get wounded than stay on your back any longer, he'd rather not risk the chance you'd take off on a surprise flight.
Charlotte elegantly landed with the help of your wings, looking around at the place with such fascination that told you she hadn't been outside her whole life. Well, you might be at fault, it may have stemmed with you terrorizing Freddy.
Still, you laid down, relaxing your whole body and just watched as Charlotte teased her cousin for not being able to handle flying. Elijah was still there, laid on the ground with a very dizzy face but he still smiled though.
But your spidey senses were tingling. (Could you even call it that.)
You murmured something under your breath and a fireball had materialized out of nowhere, attacking a certain area. Charlotte and Elijah were startled when you attacked open air with such hostility.
Unfortunately your magic was deflected almost immediately with water magic, all turning to smoke and you scoffed. Great, he's here.
"So this is where you are." His voice was coming from the smoke and with a sudden gust of wind, it was cleared and revealed a very unamused Reuel.
"I thought we agreed on meeting back in the palace?" He frowned and you rolled your eyes, sending another fireball which he also deflected once again.
"Well, you were taking too long so I got bored." You said, laying once again on the grass.
"No use in arguing with a giant lizard." Reuel only responded with a tired sigh and turned to Charlotte, bowing respectfully, casting a shield when you blew fire into him for insulting you.
"What did you say? You want to turn into fertilizer at this very moment?" You growled but he ignored you only snapping his fingers to summon the several thick journals his grandfather had. You were surprised to see that many books. They're all thick ass heck too, it literally made a loud sound the moment it got dropped by Reuel, gently too.
"This is all the books that were about the giant lizard, your highness." Reuel supplied and everyone gaped. Including you, you certainly thought you'd only have five journals for most, not a whole shelf.
Well, Johan that's a lot of books you got for me there.
"With all those journals, it has to have something about the curse right?" Elijah asked Charlotte, dumbfounded at the amount, all of which are two books thick each, you could agree that there should be something there to break your curse. Because what could he possibly have put there to fill those?
Charlotte could only nod.
"Is the curse about turning her into a human every night?" Reuel who seemingly heard the two whispering, asked casually and Charlotte nodded once again. Now that sure has to be a confirmation that Johan had indeed written something about the curse.
"How'd you know?"
"It's common knowledge between us mages now. Grandpa's very amazing for that." Reuel answered, clear admiration in his. Which is weird I tell you, they have the same face, he's literally admiring himself.
"It's also kind of written, obviously." He rolled his eyes, gesturing to the journals. You want to slap him, he really really gets on your nerves. Maybe it's because you're kind of similar in some way, at least your brain tells you.
"Wait, wait. How do you know all of those are about me?" You asked, referring to the journals. Well Johan had the hobby of wanting to know everything he deemed as his future magic or something. He did manage to make two journals about worms because he was curious.
"It has your name on the cover."

Btw, I'm up for requests! Headcanons and whatnot. I'm extremely bored, I wanna write something but as you can see I'm having author's block so.
