The Airspace over Tormeus, Topa, 20th December 1639 CCY, 8 AM

"Long Caster to Andromeda II, we are flying over Tormeus. It looks like they are fortifying the fortress. I can see a tall humanoid figure... sending you the feed, over." – AWACS Long Caster

"Appreciate it, Long Caster, keep flying over the AO." – Yamanami

Rergen FOB, Topa

The screen is now showing the video transmission from the Tiger II AWACS. The people in the room are looking intensely at what's on the screen. They can see an enormous and tall humanoid figure made from rock standing behind multiple earth walls and trenches.

"Hmm... entrenchment and tank ditches? These guys may be smarter than we thought. And that rocky mecha thing? What the hell is that suppose to be?" – Major Naganuma Yamada

"That is a good question, Major. Mr. Moah, can you explain what we are seeing?" – Yamanami

The people in the tent are not just Japanese. There are some Topans and Parpaldians commanders. The person who just got called is Sir Moah, the knight commander and the son of the Baron of Tormeus. He was on a business trip back to the capital Berngen to report and ask for more reinforcement, so he was spared the fate of the knight chapter in Tormeus.

"Admiral, from the ancient book that I have read in the past, I can confidently say that what we are seeing is a rock golem. It's impervious to fire, bullets, and arrows will only bounce off it. What's worse is... the demon lord can fix it with his magic, and it also has regenerative capabilities." – Moah

"Well, that would certainly be a problem." – Yamada

"Well, Sir Yamada, there is a weakness of all golems, however. If you can destroy a golem's core, you can kill them as its core is the thing that stores the magic and make it move. From the pictures... I'd surmise that the core is in its chest." – Moah

"Pardon me, but... for a golem, we often immobilize them with a net or target their limbs, then destroy their core. Rarely, do we have mages that have impeccable talent that can target their cores directly, but they are far and few in number. With that size, it would be impossible to immobilize, or mages magic can destroy that core alone. Can I ask how you would plan to destroy that monstrous thing?" – Gai

Moah's guard and companion, who is a mercenary, stands up next to Moah and asked the Marine.

"Gai... please..." – Moah

"No, he got a point, sir Moah. Major Yamada, can you elaborate, please?" – Kaios

Major Yamada stands up and walks to the screen. He takes a look at the description of the huge rock golem. He takes a look, then turns back to the people in the briefing room.

"Well, Sir Moah, you say that the core of this... golem is in its chest, right?" – Yamada

"Yes." – Moah

"Well, then our tank or aircraft can deal with it perfectly. The only thing that matters is those huge earth walls and trenches. What we'll need is a preliminary bombardment. So, what I propose for the beginning of the battle is a bombardment of the terrain outside of the wall of Tormeus. Since there are still civilians inside the fortress, we can't just bombard the inside of the gate. It'd also be a damn shame to destroy a beautiful town like that." – Yamada

The Major brings up the map of the town. He looks at the screen as AWACS Long Caster marks all the enemy positions.

"Hmm... then, what will happen after the bombardment, Sir Yamada?" – Knight Commander Aziz
