The trainees are running around the perimeter of a pair of instructors. They are all wearing a cap with the name of the base as well as white t-shirts and black shorts. This airbase, the Center for Advanced Combat Training and Experiment 1521 "Maryy", short Air Base Maryy is a secret base that is equipped with all necessary equipment for training combat pilots and ground crews for all of Japan's allies. The men and women here are the best and brightest of all allied nation air forces.

The base is named after one of the most famous Air Base 1521 in the Turkmenistan SSR of the Soviet Union, which held one of the most skilled and advanced aggressor training programs for the wing of the Soviet Union. For the training of the next generation combat pilots for the allied countries, Japan has spent much time and resources into producing the best training program, comparable to that of the old US Navy's TOPGUN, USAF's Red Flag,... etc, only rivaled by their predecessor Five Star Aggressor Training of the United Nation Cosmos Navy.

The best of the best pilots are also chosen to become the instructors of this Air Base. Major Akira Dessler, code name "Sword 1" of the Strider Squadron, and Major Ranhart Dessler, code name "Shield 1" of the Razgriz Squadron. They are two of the most experienced fighter aces of Earth and Garmillas, with excellent combat records, participated in some of the most dangerous operations. Their squadron mates, while not as decorated, are also the best that the Japan Cosmos Navy Fighter Service can offer.

As the trainees are running with their instructors, a squadron of 12 aircrafts flies over their heads. Once, these people were the proud wyvern knights, but time is changing, and wyverns alone can't help their nations protect themselves against much more advanced and dangerous opponents. So they look up again at what will become their future partners. The roaring jet engines produce a screeching sound that no wyverns could make, a speed that no wyverns can go. The wings of these sleek fighters can carry many more weapons than a wyvern, and their well-designed shapes can give them an agility that turns even the most experienced wyvern knight.

After a training mission, the aircrafts from the squadron return and land back at the airbase. Their shapes break up, as the variable-geometry wings open from their stealth configuration. Their landing gears move to a deployed position, revealing the tricycle landing gears. The drag chutes pop out from the back, decreasing the speed. One by one, the new wings of the free world taxi back into their hangars. These are the Mitsubishi-Lockheed F-02S strike fighter jets, often referred to by its designers as the "Strike Wyvern", designed with the fighter craft engineering lesson from the late 21st and early 22nd century and with a burning passion from the engineers. Even though Japan can't give the allied nations the same equipment that their Air Corps use due to the restriction of NEWTOPACT, these jets are nothing to be laughed at. It's not far-fetched to say that these aircraft are the crème de la crème of fighter jets. A fifth generation plus plus multirole fighter, inspired and designed by Ace Combat fans from Mitsubishi Aeronautics and Lockheed Martin Engineering Concern. Some in the government are even afraid that the engineers may have outdone themselves this time
