This book is the product of daily conversations I have both in and out of therapy sessions. As a practicing therapist, I've seen the brilliant growth and the disheartening setbacks clients experience in their day to day. I began cultivating the takeaways from sessions as a means to make sense of where their trajectories were headed. What became of those scribbles turned into brief paragraphs of recommendations and perhaps, even sometimes wisdom.
This book is not meant to be read in full. It's supposed to be picked up and put back down. Pick a chapter that resonates with you on the day you need it. Let it settle into your soul and marinate until it resonates with you on a thoughtful level. When you seek something else, come back to it.
