During the difficult times where you can't remember who you are or where you went, it's normal to begin searching in the world for the pieces of you that have gone missing. Some travel far and wide. Others stand perfectly still in overwhelm that they've somehow managed to lose who they are when they haven't even moved.
I find it comforting to remember that in these times, your mind and body have the unique gift of protection. They may have put the best parts of you away for safe-keeping until it was clear to come back out.
If that's the case, you've never been "lost" at all. You just put yourself away until later.
