It's easy to be distracted by new, exciting friendships that leave you breathless with excitement. When new people enter your life it becomes almost routine for us to forge quick connections and marvel at how easy it was to build rapport. We can then tend to neglect those who have shown up for us over and over again.
Hold onto those who have held onto you throughout the years. They've provided a sturdy foundation for you to evaluate how you trust others. Recognize your established friendships for what they are: The benchmark for how you measure new individuals and if they are worthy of being in your life.
