One thing about me is that I held grudges but I don't use them quickly, I hold them long to have myself obtain enough determination to bring them down. My mother was no exception. Her abandoning me wasn't the icing on top after all, it was her lies
As I walked out of the plane, many reapers greeted and bowed down for me. I didn't care. Nawalan na ko ng pake after the whole incident that I didn't care if I look like shit
But she was there
Bumaba si Elaina ng kotse, wearing her white floral dress. She ran towards me at niyakap ako ng mahigpit, which I replied with a tight hug as well
We stayed like that for a while, hugging each other in silence while the reapers bowed at the appearance of my wife
"Elaina, my fath-"
"I know and we can talk about it later, dear. I know you're not okay, I could feel it. C'mon, uwi muna tayo ha?" Elaina said while I simply nodded

Nakahiga kami ngayon ni Elaina sa kama namin. Wearing my silk pajamas, I pulled the blankets on my body while Elaina hugged me from behind
"Long day, huh?" tanong niya. I nodded "Truth hurts a lot yet I feel numb about it" I replied. She kissed my neck "Tell me about it, hon"
"I wanted to save my mother but I do think I lost myself in the process" I softly said. Elaina was still kissing my neck kaya nagpatuloy ako sa pagsasalita "All this time, I was living a lie"
"A beautiful lie, don't you think?"
"What do you mean?" Hinarap ko si Elaina as she gave me an assuring smile "Hindi mangyayari to without their infidelity and you were born because of them. Sure, they made tons of mistakes but I do think this one is a blessing because I get to marry you" malambing niyang sambit
I chuckled "You're just trying to sugarcoat everything that occured, no?"
"Hmm, perhaps. Kailangan, mahal, eh. I know it hurts and the only thing tha I can do for you is to make things a sound better" she kissed my cheek
"I love you, Octavia" nakangiti niyang ani as I smiled back "I love you most, mon amour"
Niyakap niya ako ng mahigpit "So, what do you plan with that certain brother of yours?" tanong ko. She chuckled "I actually don't know what to do. Let the fog clear muna at sasabihin ko rin sa tamang panahon. Besides, he's trying to settle in as a normal teenager" sambit ni Elaina, giving me a heavy sigh
"Kreios can handle it. What I mean is your mother. Tita looks emotionally unstable that even the therapist I appointed told me that she needs some time to work with her" ani ko. She sighed once again "Yes, after the incident years ago, mas naging sensitive lalo si Mom and it's a good thing the reapers are entertaining her, helping her get over the trauma caused by my father" she replied
I gently rubbed her back "We'll get through this, darling" I assured her. She chuckled "Look at us, just two souls comforting each other"
"I love you, dearest"
"I love you more"
"I'm curious though" ani ni Elaina. I looked at her "Yes?"
"If I was a worm, mamahalin mo pa rin ba ko?" tanong niya with a pout, making me laugh. What the fuck is this question? This woman really amuses me
"Answer ittt" sambit nito. I laughed hard "Dear, if you were a worm, malamang hindi kita mamahalin due to our difference. I am a human, you are a worm. Besides, malamang nakuha ka na ng ibon" I explained
Hinampas naman niya ako "That's not nice!" she replied, making me laugh even more. This woman was arranged to me, now I love her even more
