Maddies POV
I waited for a few rings before I heard a familiar voice. "Hello?" The voice came through the phone and I froze "Hello who's this?" It asked I tried to string some words together but I couldn't "I...it..it's..me" I stuttered my nerves getting the better of me. He laughed while asking "well me how did you get this number?" I cleared my throat before talking" it's me Maddie" I said the line went silent, I waited a few seconds "logan?" I asked " why are you calling is something wrong with Darcie?" He asked panicked " no no she's fine we'll not fine she was a little upset this morning because it's her first day of school and she was scared but I tried to reassure her" I blabbed "Maddie why did you call me?" He asked ignoring what I just said I took a breath "Darcie needs you.. she needs her dad" the line went quite again but I could still hear something so I knew he was still there.
