Sid's POV
I really don't understand the point of charity gala. Why can't rich people just donate the money and be done with it? What's the point of having these fancy charity gala and dressing up in their finest? Why can't the morning used for organizing and attending this gala , be donated itself to hospital?
This gala is just a means to boost their ego and show the world that they are philanthropic.Chintu (Dev) was supposed to be my plus one to gala but that monkey bailed on me citing wedding preparation. Given granddad's old age and the fact that we wanted him at our wedding, Dev and I are getting married on the same day. I'm really happy and very glad that he is finally getting married to the love of his life. Just not so glad about my marriage though.
Tara is joining as my plus one instead. And that's brings us to today.. the night of gala.
I was attending to one of the emergency cases in the ER, dressed in my formal. That's when my eye caught Tara walking in my direction, dressed in a soft pink gown. Her hair open and slightly curled.(Imagine without spectacles)
This is the first time I'm seeing her with her hair not tied up and she looks like a dream with her hair let down. She should let her hair down often.
She looks breathtaking. Literally took my breath away for a brief second. And soon as she caught my presence, she smiled at me.
Oh my, what have I ever done to deserve such a beautiful smile? But, what surprised me and delighted me the most was her earrings.
It's the one of the two pairs I had gotten her from Charminar (Hyderbad trip).
