Sky Over Tokyo by Radwimps

Y/N POV.
In the blink of an eye, before I could ask Ayato and Childe on whether they would want to rest, I find myself in a monument of ancient towers. It's much brighter here, blue crystals lighting up several parts of this strange structure built of concrete unlike anything I've ever seen since I had stepped into the Chasm. I take a step further to the edge of the side, looking out and around only to realise this whole structure is upside down yet... gravity doesn't seem to apply here. Or is it that I'm just upright and this place is really just lop-sided?

"We finally meet," I hear a voice behind me.

In instinct, I grab my sword, unsheathing it as the polished steel reflects the light across it's cool surface. My eyes meet with someone who looks familiar but yet I do not recall having met this person. Their blonde hair swifts similarly to that of the wheat in the grass fields, their eyes shining like the stars in the night sky, but as I point my sword out, the lector that I have only noticed now pierces it's sharp pole at me before the person in front stops it.

"Your Majesty..." The lector grunts in disapproval.

"Who are you?" I narrow my eyes, my sword relentlessly waiting for an answer.

There is a moment of silence as the lector steps back into its place, the unknown stranger in front of me not moving an inch at all. I can hear my breath, calm and cold. My battle instincts are driving me mad but yet, it feels like I shouldn't be fighting with this strange being. Every part of my body is screaming for me to move but I know in my head to not be emotional now.

They're strong.

I could die.

That very thought frustrates me.

"I am the sibling of the person you call 'Traveller'. The saviour of Teyvat's nations," They finally announce their identity.

"What?" I naturally ask again.

"There is no time. Great danger awaits you, Y/N," The words leaving their mouth seem to come right out of my other ear as I continue to hold up my sword.

"What do you mean?" I keep finding myself answering them with questions.

"You need to remember to wake up when you fall asleep. Don't forget that," They continue as the lector draws a portal out.

"Wait, I don't understand. How do you know any of this? Are you a prophet? How can I trust you?" I finally put down my sword.

"I detected an anomaly amongst the constellations in Teyvat. The sky was... different, I should say," Their words not making any sense at all.

I don't say anything, giving them a look of distrust that they acknowledge well.

"You dream of things that feel real, don't you? But when you wake up, you can't remember any of it?" They ask me.

"How did you know?" I clench my sword tightly.

"We share the same enemy, and under this façade of a world, we are allies," They nod.

Façade of a world...?

Before I could say anything, the Traveller's sibling walks into the portal of beautiful galaxies and a calamity of stars. The lector looks back at me once again with a hateful glare before sealing the portal, leaving me in utter confusion and fear. No one knows about how I'd been having these strange dreams that I just cannot recall, so how did they know?

I drop my sword as the headaches come back again, kneeling onto the floor as I watch my reflection from the sword. I wince as my head plummets to the ground, fingers wrapping themselves into fists as my forehead feels the cold stone. I can only gasp for air in this stuffy cavern, the still air seemingly moving now as my mind plays with me in turmoil.

"Again," A deep voice demands.

"I can't, please... I'm exhausted. Let us rest for a moment," I complain as I lie back on the ground, bathing in sunlight.

I can feel the heat on my skin, my chest going up and down as I pant in desperation. Sounds of footsteps come nearer and I feel someone pull me up. And again, I can't see his face.

"You need to know the art of our clan's swordsmanship, Y/N. You may be my lover, but you carry the burden of being in my family now," He chuckles, his warm lips kissing my forehead.

"I apologise, Y/N. <%]&; can be so unforgiving when it comes to swordsmanship. And please, don't be so harsh on her," A gentle voice that sounds familiar yet can't recognise in this memory that isn't mine calls out.

I can't see anything.

"Now, let us duel once again," He wipes the perspiration off my face.

My eyes flutter open and I grunt, standing back up again as the sheathe my sword back in. Remnants of the headache still throb as I try to take it easy. This constantly keeps happening and I have no idea why. Sometimes, I can see things but not people's faces, and other times, I can't see anything at all. Just pitch black. I sigh and close my eyes, but when I open it again, I'm taken aback with what I see.

"What..." The words that leave my mouth can't seem to finish their own sentence.

"Y/N!!" Ayato exclaims, as he bombards me with waves of questions I can't process, lifting my arms and spinning me around.

"You're fine," He sighs in relief.

"Of course, I'd be," I furrow my eyebrows, a little offended.

"What happened? Where did you go?" The traveller beats Ayato to it.

Before I can say anything at all, I glance at Ayato who seems to be in a state of hesitance, a guilty look plastered his handsome and porcelain features. Zhongli and Venti look at each other for a second, as if to exchange thoughts and I now realise that they were lying. Childe gives me a nod of assurance before I contemplate on how to explain what had transpired in the monument.

"I saw your sibling. Well... they claimed they were your sibling," I started off.

"What? What did they say? How did they look like? Are you sure?" They walk up to me, a worried look in their eyes. A part of me feels warm at the fact that although they are on the opposite sides of a coin, they still care for each other.

"They look just like you. And, they were fine. It seemed that they command the abyss since there was a lector beside them praising them with the title "Your Majesty". Do you know about that?" I ask the traveller, attempting to change the topic.

The traveller and Paimon looks at each other hesitantly before they go on to explain to everyone how the traveller's sibling is indeed the Commander the of Abyss. I only knew that the Traveller had been trying to find their siblings but it wasn't known to me the their sibling was with the abyss until a few moments ago when I was away from everyone, confronted by a familiar stranger who seemed to know everything about me.

The guilt in the traveller's eyes was obvious, but none of us held the traveller to it because it wasn't his fault. There was a heavy silence in the air but fortunately, it seemed that everyone forgot about how this started to begin with and I sigh in relief as Ayato makes an announcement, grateful that I am saved from having to explain what actually happened.

It just wouldn't make sense. Even I don't think it makes any sense at all...

"We should leave the Chasm before anything dangerous happens again. While you were gone, a group of hilichurls made their way here. When we defeated them, their bodies dispersed like ashes burnt from hellfire," Ayato says.

"In short, they were puppets," Childe explains it to me.

"Indeed. However, they left some things behind," Ayato continues as Venti takes out a few books from his bag that were not at the tent before, many of them with scriptures I don't recognise.

"This is..." My voice trails away.

"Books from the abyss... Or about the abyss," Zhongli states.

"I will have these translated once we arrive in Inazuma. For now, this trip seems to have been..." Ayato pauses, looking at me as he says his next words, "Fruitful."

"Why does Paimon feel like that there's something going on between you two," Paimon narrows her eyes at us suspiciously. The traveller chuckles quietly as Ayato sighs sheepishly before turning his back to walk away, my face blushing red.
