CHAPTER 16

Makalipas ang isang oras ay tinawag ako ni Eniel kasi bababa daw ito. Kukuha ito ng mga damit. Magkahawak-kamay kaming pumasok sa apartment nito. Halos kasinglaki din ito ng apartment ko. Moderno ang interior ng apartment ni Eniel. At kapansin-pansin na malinis ito.

"Do you have someone who regularly cleans this place?" Tanong ko sa binata.

"Yup." Maikling tugon nito. Dire-diretso ito hanggang sa kwarto nito. Namangha ako sa laki ng silid ni Eniel.

"Wow your room is very large. How many bedrooms do you have here?"

"I have two, the other room was converted into a gym." Kumuha ito ng malaking duffel bag at pumasok sa closet nito. His clothes were hanged according to colors and type. Hindi ko mapigilan na mapahanga sa pagiging organized ng lalaki. Curiosity got the better of me and I opened one drawer. It turned out to be his underwear drawer. I pulled one out.

"What are you doing?"

"Just trying to help you," napapangiti kong tugon.

"And you decided to pack my underwears?" He gave me a smaller bag so I can help him.

"Nagkataon lang na ito ang una kong nabuksan," alam kong namumula na naman ang mukha ko.

"Well if you insist, go ahead and help me pack my things," at ipinagpatuloy nito ang mga ginagawa. Halos umabot kami ng tatlumpong minuto bago natapos. At bumalik kami sa apartment ko.

"Yaya patulong naman po. Pakilagay po ng mga gamit ni Eniel sa kwarto ko," tawag ko sa yaya ko ng makabalik kami.

Sumunod si Eniel sa yaya ko. Pumasok ako ng study ko at titingnan ko kung may mga importanteng emails ba ako na kailangan kong asikasuhin. Nasa kalagitnaan ako ng pagbabasa ng reports para sa construction ng condo towers ng pumasok si Eniel sa study ko.

"Baby I need to go to the office, there's an important matter that I need to take care of," dumiretso ito hanggang sa tabi ko. Tumayo ako para salubungin si Eniel. Yumakap siya sa 'kin at hinalikan ako. "I want to spend the day with you but this is urgent."

"You go ahead. I'll be here," sagot ko naman sa kanya.

"I'll be back as soon as I can," at lumabas na ito.

Napatingin ako sa nakasaradong pinto. Binalikan ko ang mga nangyari ng araw na ito. Hindi ko maiwasang mapangiti sa tuwing maaalala ko ang mga ginawa namin ni Eniel matapos makapag-almusal. Yesterday I was in Tagaytay and whining about the picture that I saw when it really didn't mean anything to him. Eniel had been very sweet to me and I must admit that he did not give me any reason to doubt him.

I was just over-thinking everything. Maybe I was just being too emotional because I love him and I'm not sure if he feels the same way. I thought about talking to him regarding my feelings but he is too distracting whenever he's nearby. And to add to it, he kisses me all the time which makes me lose the ability to think.

Now that he will be staying with me maybe I can have more chances to talk to him. I just wish that he will be receptive to what I will tell him. I admit that I am a little scared. The task of confessing my feelings for him is daunting. But I know that talking to him would be the only solution to my problems. And the only way that I will know what he truly feels about me.

After some time, I was exhausted so I decided to take a nap. Pumasok ako sa kwarto at dire-diretso sa banyo. Muntik na akong mapatalon ng makita ko si Eniel na naliligo at nakaharap sa 'kin. Bigla akong tumalikod pero huli na dahil nakita ko na ang hindi ko dapat makita.

"I'm s-sorry, I d-didn't know y-you were still h-here," Nauutal kong sabi.

"I just came home, I decided to take a shower because I was sweating." Then I felt him touch my shoulders and slowly turned me around. "Don't be shy baby. It's only fair that you get to see all of me too." Then he smiled tenderly at me.
