The Behind Of BLACKPINK's Jennie & Julie's "lazy dancing" Is Revealed

Jennie and Julie's first lazy dance scandal took place in 2018, at the time when BLACKPINK began the In Your Area World Tour. There have been many fancams pointing out that the two had been executing more superficial and less powerful moves than other members.

However, fans quickly pointed out that the reason was that Jennie fell and twisted her ankle right on stage. The female idol even reassured fans that she was fine, not using the injury to justify it. In the behind-the-scenes photo posted by the rapper, she revealed her bandaged foot.

On the other hand, Julie's case had no apparent reason whatsoever and fans had nothing else to do other than being confused and watching their idol being dragged down by netizens slowly, to the point the worry got to her own family, making her sister beg haters to leave her alone.

In the beginning of this year, Julie shook and worried BLINKs after injuring herself on stage during one of BLACKPINK's last concerts of the tour in Japan. A note was released by YG Entertainment, explaining she had gone through surgery to correct the demage and would be on hiatus for 6 months, approximately, to fully recover.

Then, fans started to think: if she was already injured before the incident?

Confirming their thoughts, yesterday (12), during the prologue for BLACKPINK's new reality show '24/365', Julie revealed she had been suffering from pain on her knee since the tour began!

"It started to hurt when I did a few things, but I thought it was because I wasn't stretching well before the shows, so I just kept exercizing." She started. "It was hurting so bad, but I didn't want to worry anyone, because everybody was so busy."

She was also caught entering the recording space walking in crotches, still recovering.

Also, fans started to notice that, during BLACKPINK's perfomances, Julie has been bending down her knees further than the other members to meet their heights, since she is the tallest, with 5'8 ft.

Now, it is all explained. Julie was not only suffering from anxiety attacks and overworking, but also had partially torn her knee all this time. And yet, she had to deal with all the hate without doing anything wrong and trying her best.

Fans are extremely touched by her strength and mad at the company for not explaining her situation earlier, which would have possibly avoided all she went through. They even trended the hashtag #ApologizeToJulie for accusing her of something that she shouldn't be sorry for.
