Steve whimpered and cried. He was resting back against soft leather with his eyes still closed. He could hear what sounded like the start of an engine roaring to life and the faint whiff of gasoline. He had to be in a car, right? A part of him wanted to open his eyes and see where he was but that took so much effort. He was hurting. Deeply and utterly hurting. His heart hurt. Everything hurt. He wanted this hurt to go away—he didn't want it to be real. Maybe this was all a bad dream that he would wake up from. Maybe Nancy didn't actually break his heart in two. Maybe Tina's party never even happened.

But then why did everything feel so real? No matter what he thought his heart was still...broken. Nancy had quite literally stabbed him in the heart with her words. I don't love you. It's all bullshit. Make it stop! Steve cried out again, clutching his hand to his chest and gripping the fabric of his black t-shirt. "S-Stop...make it stop...please, make it stop!" Steve writhed in his seat. He swears he heard someone's voice in the distance.

"Steve." Who was that? And why did it sound so familiar? "Omega." The voice became clearer now.

Steve gasped and startled himself awake as his left hand reached out to grasp the sleeve of Billy's leather jacket. "B-Billy!" Fresh tears slid down his cheeks when he turned his head to look at the blonde alpha. Billy's lips were in a tight line and his brows narrowed as if he was trying his best to focus on the road ahead. His large hands gripped the steering wheel, his knuckles turning white. The pheromones in the air smelled of rage and perhaps even a hint of sorrow. It was Billy's scent.

Why did he smell so mad? The angered look on Billy's face spoke volumes. He was upset. Very much so. But he wasn't mad at Steve, was he? What was he so mad about? The alpha growled something incoherent under his breath but Steve didn't catch what it was. "Billy..." Steve whined, his fingers digging into Billy's leather sleeve. "Please..."

"We're almost there, sweetheart. Just bear with me a little longer, yeah?" Billy had spoken softly to him, which seemed to ease Steve down a bit. The young omega rested his head back on the seat. His scent was filled with heartbreak and he felt dizzy. His head was spinning. Everything was spinning. He felt like he was going to spiral out of control. Hell, he was already spiraling. The car ride to his place felt like an eternity, even though only eight minutes had passed.

Billy's Camaro came to a stop as the alpha parked in Steve's huge driveway. Steve forced himself to open his eyes just as Billy easily lifted him out of the passenger seat. "I got you, omega."

Steve didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around Billy's neck and rest the side of his head against the alpha's broad shoulder. "Billy..." He couldn't help but purr. He knew the heartbreak was affecting his mind and heart but for some inexplicable reason, he wanted Billy. He wanted Billy. He wanted the alpha to comfort him. He wanted the alpha to take care of him. He just wanted. It was probably selfish and greedy on his part. But according to Nancy, he has always been a clingy and needy omega.

Maybe that's also one of the reasons why she snapped his heart like a fucking twig. Clearly, she didn't love him. And she probably didn't want to deal with him anymore. "Steve, you got your keys?"

"Mm..." Steve hummed and mindlessly fished for his house keys in the front pocket of his dark jeans. He held the keys up and Billy took them to unlock the front door before heading inside the cold, empty home.

"Where's your room, sweetheart?"

Steve's eyes fluttered open as he gave the alpha directions to his bedroom. It was a stupid thought but he's never had another alpha in his room—well, except Nancy, of course. "It still hurts...Billy..." He whimpered as Billy gently set him down on the queen-sized bed.
