Chapter 29

Manik was talking to Rohit.

Rohit: "Kiddo you remember na, tujhe ek project ki offer aye hain".

Manik: "Hain ro, I know, bhaiyu na bataya".

Rohit: "Toh tuna kuch socha is baare mein". Rohit asked.

Manik: "Nahi abhi tak toh kuch nahi socha".

Rohit: "Toh soch kiddo, working with  Arman Enterprises can give your career a nice shape".

Manik: "I know ro, par kuch samajh nahi araha".

Rohit: "Look in my opinion take the offer, aur waisa bhi future mein toh tu apna debut karna wala hain, then why not now when you have such a good offer".

Manik: "Hmm, I think you are right".

Rohit: "Look no one is forcing you it's your life and career, think calmly, no need to stress yourself, tu jo decide kara ga vohi hoga". Rohit said with a soft voice and warm smile.

Manik smiles in return.

Manik: "Love you!".

Rohit: "Love you too kiddo!, chal bye".

Manik: "Bye".

After ending the call manik collapsed on the bed with a heavy sigh, staring at the ceiling for 5 good minutes he realized he should change the colour of his room.

Maybe into black, no it will give more of a gangster vibe, so white, na it will get duty easily, how about white and black combination then, it will look elegant.

With these various thoughts, Manik falls asleep.

The next day Manik went to college, on his way to the classroom he collided with one of the students who look like a senior to him.

The student (senior) looked at Manik with an annoyed face.

Manik: "I am sorry, meina dheka nahi".

Senior: "Oh so you are the new boy".

Manik looked at them, oh so they were ragging or what? But what about his reputation? The Delhi ka chokra can't be ragged na, what will he tell his bestie, Rohit? That he was ragged!

Friend: "Bechara bacha hain Aryan stop scaring him". The friend of Aryan says after seeing Manik in thoughts.

Aryan: "Tu chup kar cabir".

Shantanu: "Are you listening". The other friend of Aryan asks.

Manik: "ji".

Shantanu: "Where are you coming from".

Manik: "Apna ghar se". Manik said with an extra sweet smile.

Cabir bites his lower lip to control his laugh after seeing his friend's face.

Aryan: "Toh tu naya hain".

Manik: "App mujhe jante hain?".

Aryan: "Nahi".

Manik: "Mera naam pata hai?".

Aryan: "Nahi".

Manik: "Pehele mujhe kabhi dheka hain".

Aryan/Shantanu: "Ary baba nahi". Both said simultaneously.

Manik: "Then isn't it obvious that I am a new one".

Cabir and his other friends burst into laughter after hearing Manik 🤣🤣🤣.

Cabir hugged Manik, he was the first one to shut Aryan up.

Cabir: "Mera chote monster! Tuna kamal kar diya".

Manik gave a cheeky smile, he looked at Aryan to see if he offended his senior on the first day itself, but after seeing Aryan smiling face he could breathe in relief.

Shantanu: "Hi, myself Shantanu and you?".

Manik: "Manik, sir". Shantanu raised his eyebrows at him.

Shantanu: "School mein ho?".

Manik: "Ah..ji". Manik said awkwardly.

Shantanu: "Call me Shantanu, or whatever you prefer, par yeh sir mat bulao, bohut professional lagta hain".

Manik: "Older than me". He says pointing his finger at them.

Cabir: "Hmm, call us bhai or bhaiya then". Cabir nonchalantly says.

Manik: "Can I🤔".

Aryan: "That's what he said, didn't he". Manik nods his head.

Shantanu: "Chalo cafeteria mein chal kar baat karta hain".

Cabir: "Hain chalo waisa bhi bohut bhook lagi hain".

Aryan: "Wo tujhe kab nahi lagti, bhukhe.

Cabir: "Whatever".

Aryan looked at Manik who is looking at them awkwardly.

Aryan: "If you want you can join us".

Manik: "Can I🤩".

Aryan: "Yes you can, we will not mind your presence".  Saying this Aryan held Manik's shoulder and guided him toward the cafeteria.

They moved toward the cafeteria leaving Shantanu and Cabir there like they doesn't exist.

Cabir: "Did they just leave us".

Shantanu: "Yes, they did😪".

Cabir: "How could they, I am hurt". Cabir said keeping a hand on his heart, showing how hurt he is.

Shantanu shook his head at the drama of his best friend.

Shantanu: "Stop acting like a drama queen, let's go".

Cabir: "Drama queen really drama queen, come on Shantanu, I am a man, call me drama king, not queen, how could you change my gender without my permission, this is such a nasty act.

Bas, I need to be divorced from this friendship". Cabir said dramatically, Shantanu looked at him with a done face.

Shantanu: "Shut up". And dragged Cabir from there.

Both enter the cafeteria and spot Manik and Aryan there, moving toward them.

Cabir: "I am so much disappointed with you guys, how could you forget us there, Shantanu ka toh samajh mein ata hain, he is of no use, but what about me, how could you leave such a diamond-like me there alone".

Aryan and Shantanu ignored Cabir royally, used to his antics, but Manik in his innocence thought that he truly make Cabir upset.

Manik stand from his place, went toward Cabir and hug him.

Cabir who was not expecting Manik to hug him, in the first place, was shocked but smile wrapping his arms around Manik and reciprocating the hug.

Manik: "We are sorry cabir bhai, humein app yaad hi nahi raha, please upset mat ho". A smile formed on their lips after seeing his innocence.

Aryan: "Let it be Manik, yeh toh iska roz ka drama hain".

Shantanu: "Hain ignore him, and he will be back to normal".

Cabir: "Dost dost na raha".

Shantanu: "Acha batao tum sab kya khaoge, mein order karka ata hun".

Cabir: "Ismein pochne ka kya hai, menu ki sari dishes mein se ek ek plate order kar de".

Manik: "Itna sab kuch hum log kaisa khayenge?".

Cabir: "Hum log kon? Yeh sab to mere liya hain". Cabir said making Manik shock.

Manik(shock): "Kya? Itna sab kuch apka akele ke liye". Manik ask in disbelief.

Cabir: "Hain". Cabir said shrugging his shoulders.

Shantanu: "Shut up cabir, koi ek chiz select kar jo khana hain warna kuch bhi order nahi karunga tera liya".

Cabir: "Rude😒".
