Chapter 20. Shocked? Surprised?

It was after one and a half month of the first attempt when Gulf went to consult Dr Krist again. He wanted Gulf to wait but Gulf wanted to surprise Mew on anniversary with positive reports, although not guaranteed.

Plus, due to various results perfromed on him, the doctor pleasently explained that he is one of those rare cases where the person would give birth to twins or triplets. Never a single baby. That only added to the excitement and anticipation for the procedure. He had already started weaving dreams if he had twins or triplets? All girls or boys or mix? Their names.

The doctor also told him that once he starts the procedure for second attempt, he wont get intimate with his husband through out the procedure and pregnancy if conceived. He couldnt have sex at any cost or it can cost their child life and his too. And this was the most tough thing. He knew he cant come up with any excuse to tell Mew. But he would eventually come up with something.

He was scheduled for sperm extraction and then insemination. That means he would have a month before anniversary either to plan surprise for Mew with a positive report or say goodbye to this procedure for ever.

He had two weeks before sperms extraction that he planned to spend with Mew. As much as he could.

To say Mew was happy?? He was excited, he would tease Gulf for his high sexual drive but he never let him down. He would make sure to satisfy him everytime he would turn to him. And like before Gulf contained the sperms and submitted to the doctor..

And that was the beginning. He was nervous and scared. He noticed his health. He would get easily effect by seasonal changes. And he knew it. Because the doctor had explained that his ammunity level will decrease and he will be prone to diseases. He chose to hide it as it would cause the procedure to end there and then. Yes it was a mistake. But for now he had put everything on stake. He was determined to conceive. To give the ultimate pleasure to Mew to have his own children. To take him out of his insecurities. He would always feel bad whenever Mew would say himself barren and incompetent. 

He went through the painful procedure of insemination and once again started praying for the positive reports. To his happiness Bright and Win came home for a month. That added to the liveliness of the house.

"Baby". Mew scooted close to Gulf once they settled in the bed. He was softly nipping on his ear lobes.

"Hmmm"? Gulf tried to ignore the tingling feeling.

"Its been days baby. Am missing you". Mew whispered in his ears.

"I know Honey. Its just i am too tired these days. Assignments and then hospital visits. And then the girls. Am sorry love". Gulf tried to sound confident. Although he was shaking inside. He knew it was hell to lie to Mew. But Mew, he was always caring towards him. He understood his busy and tiring routine. Since the girls were growing up, they were getting more hyper and that would add to the mess that Gulf had to take care of. Their toys, story books, their clothes.

"I understand baby. I am sorry. Lets sleep hmmm"? He kissed Gulf's temples spooning him in his embrace before closing his eyes with a smile.

'Am sorry Honey. I am so sorry. But i cannot let it go waste'. Gulf murmured to himself holding back his tears.

And then it was not about that night only. Mew would notice Gulf distancing himself. He would often refuse to have their intimate time. Assignments. Or girls. Or his hospital case studies. He would indulge himself in so much work that he would fall asleep as soon as they would hit the bed. Not that Mew was always horny but he found it weird. Yes it was true that Mew was sexually more demanding than Gulf, but that didnt mean that Gulf ever lacked.
