"Oh, so you're Aqua's new dad?" Gotanda Taishi, the director who had always collaborated with Aqua, chuckled as he met Y/N's invitation to clink their glasses of beer in merriment.

"Continue your jokes, and you might find yourself missing a tooth or three, Director Gotanda." Y/N playfully threatened with a smile, downing his glass of beer effortlessly and slamming it on the counter, shattering it to pieces.

"Oops, another glass of beer and some Chicken Teriyaki, bar master!"

Kakyoin couldn't help but frown at Y/N's behavior, glancing down at the mountain of glass shards that were forming underneath his chair.

"Ease up on the booze, I won't be able to stop you if you decide to destroy the place in a drunken rage." Kakyoin deadpanned as he offered to clink glasses with Taishi, who seemed unfazed by Y/N's threat.

"Hah, the great Y/N would never get drunk on such a weak amount of alcohol!" Y/N declared, slurring slightly as he stood up and jumped on top of the counter, drawing the attention of everyone in the bar who recognized him.

"Am I right!?" Y/N hollered to the crowd, who responded with cheers and agreement.

"Yeah!"

"See, Kakyoin!?" Y/N chuckled, plopping himself back on his seat and pouring more alcohol into Yumenji's glass, who had already passed out after just three or four drinks.

"Lively party tonight, eh, Sir?" The bartender chuckled as he slid Y/N's order over before returning to clean a wine glass.

"Indeed it is," Y/N chuckled, downing his drink in one gulp, and once again slamming the glass down on the table, but Kakyoin intervened, saving it from breaking.

"Haha, celebrating with the missus, Sir?" The bartender continued, grabbing the empty glass from Kakyoin and refilling it. "Bachelor party, I presume?"

Kakyoin scoffed, "Ha! He wishes. He hasn't even made it official with his woman."

"Oh my, is that true, Sir?"

Y/N heaved an annoyed sigh at Kakyoin's teasing before waving it away dismissively.

"Bah, potato, potahto." He shook his head, attempting to break the glass again in embarrassment.

"Tsk, tsk." Kakyoin taunted and sipped his own drink. "If you aren't going to date her, maybe I should give it a shot. Eight years isn't that much of an age gap."

"Try it, and you're dead." Y/N warned, his voice turning cold, surprising the bartender and those around him.

Luckily, the tension was broken when Y/N's phone rang, indicating an incoming call.

He chose to ignore it, inwardly smiling as the person calling him stopped.

"Hmph, smart move." He muttered, glancing at his phone, and then suddenly sat up straight, accidentally smashing the glass shards beneath him to oblivion. He hurriedly ran outside of the bar in a clumsy, undignified manner.

Kakyoin and Taishi exchanged curious glances before shrugging and continuing their drinking. A smirk played on Kakyoin's lips as he saw who had called Y/N.

The streets were lit with the warm glow of streetlamps, and a gentle breeze carried the scent of blooming flowers. The few people out and about couldn't help but stop and stare at the spectacle that was Y/N, running with unmatched speed down the road, his determined steps matching the rhythm of his pounding heart. There was a sense of urgency in his movements, a fervor that drew curious onlookers to cheer him on, thinking he was filming some grand act of athleticism.

His breaths came out ragged, and he felt the weight of the world on his shoulders, but he didn't stop. Y/N's mind was solely focused on Ai, who had called him with an unusual tone that sparked concern deep within him. He feared the worst, imagining that she might have been kidnapped or hurt again, something that seemed to happen far too frequently.

"Why can't we just find peace?" He screamed, his voice carrying his frustration and desperation, the cheers of the crowd egging him on. But there was no film crew here, no cameras to capture this moment—it was all for Ai's sake.

It didn't take long for him to cover the vast distance from the bustling city center to the tranquil outskirts, his Stand's time-stopping ability shaving precious minutes off his journey. Filled with determination, he reached the grand gates of Ai's mansion, only to realize he had left his keys with Yumenji. Frantic, he attempted to push open the gates, but they remained resolute.

In a bold move, Y/N gripped the gates tightly, propelling himself upwards. He grabbed the edge of the wall, using it to push off towards a nearby tree, then leaped over the towering mansion walls. He knew it would be faster than going through the main entrance, and time was of the essence.

His heart pounding, he landed softly in front of Ai's bedroom window, ready to shatter the glass if anyone threatened her safety. But it was Ai who appeared, her voice calling his name with a mix of surprise and relief. As the window opened, revealing her silhouette in a black nightdress that accentuated her beauty, Y/N's breath caught in his throat.

"What are you doing there... outside my window?" Ai asked, her eyes searching his for an explanation. She peeked outside to make sure no prying eyes were watching, and with a small sigh, she seemed to let her guard down.

"Did you miss me so much that you had to come up through the window?" She teased, her voice sweet and her eyes shining with affection.

Y/N averted his gaze, still catching his breath. "You called," he replied simply, and in that one phrase, a world of emotions lay beneath the surface.

In the moonlit night, their hearts raced as they stood there, drawn to each other like magnets. They both pondered what had led them to this moment, their feelings bubbling up like a hidden spring. Their hearts beat faster and faster inside their chests as they struggled to comprehend their newfound emotions.

"He came running just because I miscalled?" Ai thought to herself and tried to calm down her beating heart, but she couldn't stop it.

Thinking back, he had always put her safety before his own. He was always there when she needed support and was the first person to bring her whatever she wanted without her saying anything.

She felt safe, warm, and herself whenever he was around her. There was no day that was complete when she couldn't hear his voice nor listen to his laughter and sparky remarks

The same was for Y/N, who began to wonder why he had run miles and miles to the point he abused his powers just because one little miscall from Ai.

He felt as if his heart had acquired a life of its own and ordered to stay still as he was afraid it might burst out of his chest any moment soon.

"Why... just why?" Y/N growled to himself as he couldn't understand why he acted the way he did.

There was always the nagging urge to be with Ai even though their schedule didn't match. The want to hear her voice and hear her laughter was so strong at the morning that he would purposely wake the twins up so they'd run up to her and he'd have an excuse to do so.

"There's no more denying it."

"...It can't be helped, it's me who decided it."

The two thought to themselves, and slowly, their gazes met. Passion and acceptance filling their eyes as a beautiful smile adorned Ai's lips while Y/N flashed a defeated yet accepting smile.

Their thoughts were too strong as their lips moved in sync.

"I..."

"I..."

They both whispered, thinking that they were still keeping their thoughts to themselves.

"I've fallen in love with you."

"I've helplessly begun to love you."
