Pienso que la cita en sí de Descartes tiene mucha relevancia y sentido común, ya que una cosa que no exista o no esté vivo, como los animales, los humanos o los seres vivientes en general, difícilmente pueda pensar, ya que está inanimado, no respira y no es. Por lo tanto, sólo lo que existe y tenga alma, cerebro y fcultades de razonamiento, puede pensar y razonar. Una piedra o un pedazo de madera no puede pensar, porque es inanimado, no tiene vida alguna ni alma.
