It was raining in Narita when her flight was landing. The plane tore through miles and miles of cotton clouds to finally see the green lands of the country she had been so eager to visit. It was a country where technology and culture moved hand in hand. Victoria's dream was to capture both the noticeable and even the less heralded beauties of the country to be celebrated forever.

Shockingly though, she did not feel the excitement to her very bones as she used to before as she was finally almost about to touch the ground of her dream country.

The only thing she could feel was the giant emptiness that surrounded her because of the absence of everything she had left behind her.

She bit her tongue as the plane shook, delving more into the turbulent weather.

So, he feels like everything to you now! Her own mind chastised her.

Looking out the window, she tried to get back to her normal state of mind, how it was before Victor, hoping the damage within wouldn't be permanent.

She had to hold the back of the seat in front of her to steady herself as, amidst incredibly strong wind and rain, the plane finally landed.

A new beginning welcomed her.

"Konnichiwa..." She greeted back to the immigration officer—one of the few Japanese words she had learned online while planning for the tour.

There were massage chairs in front of a glass wall with a nice outside view. Rollan had reminded her a couple of times to use them after landing to remove the stress and exhaustion of such a long flight. These massage chairs were that euphoric, according to him. However, she was not in the mood.

Before starting her journey, she was informed that a Brazillian guy, Pedro, would pick her up from the airport.

Victoria found him waiting for her with her name displayed on a whiteboard in his hand. Pedro seemed to be around his age. Beige skin, big eyes, casual clothes (jeans and a brick red shirt), and dark hair made him look pretty great, and his gaze made him seem incredibly welcoming and friendly.

"Hola, Konnichiwa—" the guy said both kinds of greetings, and as her lips curled up in amusement while replying similarly following him, he laughed heartily.

It had been a while since she had smiled. And now, as she did, she felt like crying as well.

Pedro didn't let her push the airport trolley to the car. "You must be exhausted from sitting like a scrunched paper for so many hours. Did you even go to the loo during your second flight? I heard they have the smallest seats on the airlines you chose. Little to no place to even keep your feet. Movement or getting up for a piss is a bigger hassle than having one's feet sleep off because of no movement at all in such airplanes..."

As replies, Victoria nodded her head in positive or shook in negative a few times in the beginning as he kept speaking and asking questions. Nevertheless, she ceased that after realizing he had been talking without care, even without getting any replies. The guy loved to talk.

Getting into the backseat of his four-seater car, Victoria drifted into a comfortable silence.

It started raining heavily soon—so heavy that any sightseeing of any natural scenarios from the car on their way was impossible. Pedro looked like he would bounce off his seat from showing her some great places in Tokyo, like times square.

There was a Starbucks somewhere around times square, Pedro informed her. It was a pretty popular hang-out place for maximum locals. He suggested that she must have a proper trip of the area by foot at least once during her stay.
