Where we belong....

Atop the towering heights of New Jungland, on the highest floor, resides only two rooms. One being the throne room of the current king, which sits empty at the current moment, and a dining hall, which is very much so not empty.

With torches placed carefully along the large fence that constitutes the walls, the Kongs feast on their breakfasts as many of them shake their tables, sing, or fight with one another over who's food belongs to who. At the front of the room, however, one Kong sits, with a legion of cooks and chefs behind him, alone on a throne, with a table next to him holding a untouched plate of food.

Diddy Kong, a smaller kong who stands next to him, notices the untouched plate, and looks up to him.

Diddy Kong: "Everything alright Kranky?"

Kranky: "........Huh? Oh, yeah, yeah......sure......"

Diddy Kong: "..........Is it............that day?"

Kranky: "........No......not anymore...."

Diddy Kong: "Oh........"

Kranky: "I had forgotten about it......with all the commotion involving that low life Princess and her stupid plan to steal our land.........I completely forgot about my son's disappearance........"

Diddy Kong: "..........Are you alright?"

Kranky: ".........No....."

Diddy puts a hand on Kranky's, which he looks to and smiles before turning away with a frown.

Kranky: "I just.......I wish this all could be over......."

Diddy Kong: "We all do Kranky......"

Kranky: "I know, but..........I just......for me it's different! You all lost a Prince! I......I lost a son.........my only son........and I won't forget that......."

Donkey Kong climbs atop a fence far behind him and slides down it as he looks around with wide eyes.

Kranky: "Oh! I just wish he would just......SHOW UP!"

Donkey squeezes past the chefs and cooks as he whispers to each of them things such as 'Sorry', 'Excuse me', and 'Let me just squeeze past ya here'. The Kongs all give him a nod before then looking at him with wide eyes and jaws agape.

Kranky: "Even if he just.....APPEARED BEHIND ME! I WOULD BE HAPPY! I WOULD BE SO HAPPY!"

Diddy Kong: "So happy!"

Kongs begin to quiet down as they all stare at Donkey, who is tiptoeing up behind Kranky.

Kranky: "......Yeah......I would be.......but he hasn't...... In the past two years....he......h-"

Kranky Kong notices everyone staring up at where he is sitting, and starts to get aggravated by this. He then stands and yells at them all.

Kranky: "What? WHAT ARE YOU ALL STARING AT, YA BUNCH OF HOOLIGA-"

Donkey Kong: "HI DAD!"

Donkey Kong springs forward, knocking the throne over onto Kranky in the process. Kranky yelps as the entire room gasps and Donkey puts his hands over his mouth.

Donkey Kong: "Oh my goodness.......Dad! I am so sorry!"

Kranky, hearing Donkey's voice, shakes his head from under the throne.

Kranky: "Donkey?"

Kranky begins to crawl out from under the throne.

Donkey Kong: "I mean......not just about knocking the throne on top of you, although I am sorry about that! I mostly mean that....I'm sorry for not coming back! I didn't mean to! Really!"
