The Super Mario Bros Movie 2 (SMBMR)

Mario has joined the fight!

In the main room of the palace, dozens of both sides war against each other as the outside world seems as distant as another planet.

This darkened room, with multiple pillars and a raised part of the floor, has been uninterrupted in its conflict for the past ten minutes, but now, something is about to change that...

The shadow of a figure is cast across the floor, causing everyone to stop fighting and look down at it.

The figure is of a male, a human male, with a hat and gloves on. The ones on Peach's side look at this with a smile plastered onto their faces, while the ones on Daisy's....look at this in complete fear.

Slowly, they all look up to the entrance and see....him.....standing in the sunlight....

Kranky grins and chuckles to himself.

Kranky: "The plumber has arrived..."

Captain Pianta: "RETREAT!"

The Piantas begin running as Mario takes a step.

Then another step.

Then another.

Then another.

Until finally, he starts sprinting through the crowd of his allies and friends, all of them cheering him on as he launches into the air, the sunlight of the open section of the roof lighting up his features as he glared down at his enemies.

Multiple Creatures: "MARIO!"

Mario: "LETSA GO!"

Mario shoots down as his adversaries scream.

Daisy throws Peach away from her as Luigi, in a fire flower suit, kicks her leg out from under her and shoots a fire ball her way.

She blocks it, but just as she swings a sword overhead towards him, Toad jumps up again and covers her eyes.

Toad: "REVENGE 2!"

Daisy: "AGAIN?!?"

Daisy staggers towards a wall where she then slams Toad against it again and again. Once he finally falls off of her, she turns and aims a sword at him while panting.

Daisy: "You IDIOTIC TOAD! YOU SUCK AT FIGHTING! WHAT MAKES YOU THE CAPTAIN OF THE GUARD WEAKLING?"

Toad: "N-Nothing.....yet...."

Daisy eyes him with a confusing look before Peach grabs her leg and throws her to the ground with a

THUD.

Piantas race through the halls, away from Mario as he checks every single room in the palace.

Any time in runs into one of them that won't run away, he simply kicks off of their head and continues forward.

He isn't here for them.

He's here for her.

The sword clashes against the parasol as Peach and Daisy glare at each other.

Peach: "We could've been allies! We could've been friends!"

Daisy: "Oh I BET you would've liked that! You know, unlike yourself, I had NO OTHER HUMANS! JUST ME!"

Daisy then tries to use the sword to knock her over, only for Peach to flip over it as it swings by below her.

Afterwards, they clash again.

Peach: "BUT FOR THE LONGEST TIME, I HAD NO OTHER HUMANS! NOW I HAVE THEM! AND YOU CAN TOO! WE CAN ALL HAVE EACH OTHER!"

Daisy: "Oh you really don't get it! IF I STOP FIGHTING, IT ISN'T LIKE WE'RE ALL GOING TO BECOME ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY IF I JUST FORFEIT! WE WILL NEVER BE CLOSE, DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT?"
