After Eddie had finished packing up his gear with the band, he made a run for it to get to Robin's before everyone went to bed so he could check in on Priscilla. He felt bad that Priscilla had gotten so drunk at his show, and he had a feeling he knew why.

The van had barely stopped moving when Eddie yanked his keys out of the ignition and jumped out, running up the wooden steps to the back door. He didn't even bother knocking; instead, just burst through like the house was on fire and he was running in to rescue its inhabitants.

Robin was in the kitchen, grabbing some water when Eddie burst through. "Christ!" She shouted, startled by the sudden opening of her back door. She rested a hand on her racing heart, trying to catch her breath. "What the fuck, Eddie?" She said when she realized who was breaking and entering into her house. "I know you show up unannounced all the time but what the hell was that?"

Eddie swung the door shut behind him. "Sorry," He apologized. "I just had to get here before you all went to bed." He explained. "I wanted to make sure Priscilla was okay."

Robin scoffed and rolled her eyes. "She's fine." Robin stated flatly before taking a sip of her disappointing tap water. She was still a little annoyed with Priscilla for a number of reasons, but the main one was getting so obliterated that night that she didn't even know who she was. Robin knew that Priscilla was dealing with a lot but she didn't agree that using alcohol to cope with it was the smartest idea.

Eddie began to grow frustrated with Robin's disinterest in her friend's well being. "Fuck is wrong with you, Robs?" He questioned.

"What's wrong with me?" Robin shot back. "She's the one who made the choice to get hammered and lose track of who she even is."

"Seriously?" Eddie took a step towards Robin. He'd seen his parents use alcohol to cope all the time. He knew it wasn't a healthy mechanism, but he understood why people did it. Sometimes it was the only way to feel something other than a gnawing pain. "She's your best friend and this is how you're acting?"

"Oh, is she my best friend, Eddie?" Robin challenged. "Because she certainly hasn't been acting like it lately; hiding her relationship with you from me and keeping secrets. Yeah, some best friend." She scoffed.

"C'mon, Robs." Eddie tried to reason with her. His voice grew a little softer. "You know why she didn't tell you about-"

"Oh, I know." Robin cut him off. "And it's bullshit. She needs to grow the fuck up and tell Steve already. She's been dancing around his feelings for months. You and her are my friends but so is Steve. I've seen all this happen to him before and I hate that now my best friend is doing it to him, too."

There was a moment of silence between them as Robin's words sunk into Eddie's chest. "Do you think she still has feelings for Harrington?" He wondered.

Robin sighed solemnly. "I know she does. And I think that's why she's having such a hard time letting go."

Eddie nodded slightly, letting Robin's words seep into his skin; absorb into his psyche. He wondered why he kept bothering with Priscilla. He could easily just say to hell with all this and be done with her. What was keeping him tied to her to the point where he just couldn't seem to let go?

"Is Steve here?" Eddie finally asked after a few moments of silence. "I saw his car out front."

Robin nodded. "Yeah, he's upstairs with 'Scilla."

Eddie felt a jealousy rising from the pit of his stomach, into his chest, swelling around his heart. He didn't like the fact that Steve was upstairs with Priscilla alone. He knew that Steve wasn't the same guy that Jason was, but after knowing about what had happened to Priscilla in the past, it gave Eddie this instinctual need to protect her. He also wasn't too thrilled that Steve had been the one to become her hero tonight, taking her out of the bar and safely home. It should have been him.
