Author's note: @Athenodora_Sulpicia who asked for number 29 on the fluff list. I honestly don't feel happy with this writing, as I could have done better but the writer's block doesn't help.

-Alma...- you call to your wife who is still asleep.

-Honey, wake up- moving her gently.

-Mmmh- she moans, still half asleep.

-Come on, you have to have breakfast- removing her hair from her face to kiss her cheek.

-I don't want to- she says, her voice hoarse from sleep.

-Prepare your favorite

With this you manage to catch her attention looking at you with intrigue to know if you are not trying to trick her, you step back letting her see the tray, waffles, fried bacon and some freshly grown raspberries, along with a cup of hot tea.

-Thank you so much- as you place the tray in her lap.

-Anything for you- sitting down next to her.

-How did you sleep?- you ask stealing a raspberry from her hand.

-Very well, thank you- giving you a smile before returning to her food.

The last week Peregrine had been having a bad night as some of the children had been sick and she was constantly looking after their health, you decided to take the situation in your hands and take care of her chores so she could rest, although it was not easy to persuade her but you managed to get your way.

-I have to go prepare the food- you tell her, leaving a kiss on her cheek.

-I'll catch up with you in a little while- finishing her breakfast.

You turn on the radio to hear some noise and start cooking, while humming a song; time seems to fly by because it doesn't take long and the food is almost ready.

-I'll never understand why you turn on the radio if you're going to sing- says Alma lowering the volume.

-I like the background noise- turning to face her.

-I really needed that break- she says leaning back on the table.

-And you refused to listen to me- you say seeing her rolling her eyes.

-How's the food coming?- she asks changing the subject.

-It's almost ready- you answer hugging her back as she inspects what you prepared.

-It smells delicious- placing one of her hands on yours.

-Mmhh- your tasks in response

You two stand there for a moment before Fiona enters the kitchen.

-Miss Peregrine, how are you feeling?- asks the girl genuinely interested in the state of her headmistress.

-I feel fine, thank you Fiona- she replies, leaving her to go on with what she was doing.

-We'd better set the table- says Alma, taking everything she needs.

They divide the work and you finish your part much earlier than her.

-Will you give me a kiss?- you ask with a smile on your face as you approach her.

-No- she answers with her eyes focused on the task at hand.

-Why not?

-One of the children can come in- she says without even looking at you.

-Alma Lefay Peregrine- you manage to catch her attention as you say her full name -if you don't kiss me right now, then I'm going to tickle you!

-You wouldn't dare- mocking your words.

-Ah, wouldn't you?

You approach her, putting your hands on her sides ready to attack at any moment.

-Ok- she replies reluctantly before giving you a kiss.

-You give me another

-And one more for luck- making her laugh.

-That's enough- she replies amused about all this

-Ahggg, I wanted another kiss- placing his hands on her waist, pouting.

-Later- before walking away, leaving you standing there.
