Chapter 25: Giving up?

England-
Arlyn's POV-
Our flight was quite. We didn't bother each other. We were doing our own work and then slept for a few hours. I wish this trip to England would favour me and sort out our issues for once and all, because I am unable to handle them now. I am down trying and trying to keep our relationship going on now; because I am the only one who puts in efforts; he never does!

Author's POV-
So they were staying in a hotel; same rooms. They came and took rest for the day.
Next day-
'Where are you going?' asks Arlyn
'I have a meeting with a client..it might take 2 days for me to come back..because I have some other business too..you might be bored staying alone; if you want you can go to Marcus's' suggests Lorenzo
'Yeah, why not? I will go and meet him today only' says Arlyn

Marcus Mansion-
'Surprise' says Arlyn coming in

'Ari..' says Valeria

'Hey, how are you?' asks Arlyn

'I am great. How have you been? It's been quite a time since we last met' says Valeria

'Yes, you didn't even come to my wedding' says Arlyn

'I am sorry. I really did want to come but doctor duty calls..sorry' says Valeria

'No worries but you have to come on my anniversary party..no excuses okay!' says Arlyn

'Sure..didn't Lorenzo come along?' asks Valeria

'He did wanted too but had to go for a meeting so I guess it's only me who will give you company for next 2 days' says Arlyn

'Yeah, and suit yourself. I will get your room ready till then' says Valeria

'Sure' says Arlyn

'By the way Marcus is in his room' says Valeria

'Okay' says Arlyn

Marcus's room-
'May I come in' I asked knocking on the door
'Ari..when do you?' asked Marcus in a surprised voice
'Just a few minutes ago. I met Valeria and then came to you directly. I think you wouldn't mind me coming and surprising you like this, right?' I asked him
'Not at all. Come in! How are you?' he asked hugging me
'Good as always' I said him
'Really?' he asked
'Yes, of course. Why wouldn't I be good. I married the love of my life..living a great life. What else do I want?!' I said him
'Sit down here' he said and we sat on the sofa and,
'Now tell me what is going on?' he asked patiently
'Nothing is going on' I said in a pissed voice
'Now you are going to lie me? Tell me what is going on with you? Did you and Lorenzo had a fight?' he asked
'Fight, it was more than a fight Marcus..I can't believe he used violence on me..' I said him and narrated the whole incident of how Lorenzo hurt me and didn't let me go to my mom's that night
'I will kill that man. How could he do that to you; he hurt you. He used violence, see this is the reason I told you to choose wisely about your decision on marrying him. I knew this day would come; power over love. He choose power..so what are you going do now?' he asked
'I don't know' I said honestly
'Give up on him Ari. Leave him, he will give you nothing but pain' says Marcus
'I can't Marcus. I love that man..I can't let him go just like this..I can't give up on him, not now at least..I wanna fight for him..fight to him for my love. He has to justify his actions; he has to explain me what is going on with him. He might have changed, but I am the same old Arlyn, who loves him to the core and will fight with the whole world for him; even if it has to be with his position. I will get answers from him' I said
'It's pointless, power has overtaken him. He can't be the same as he was. You see changes in him. People change, so did he..you have to accept it' says Marcus
'No, I can't. How can I live in this world where there is no love, there is only darkness here. His smile; his love gives me solace, Marcus. He is cure for all my pain..I can't live without him' says Arlyn
'You have got yourself so dependent on him now. This would make your future difficult for you. What if he is killed by an enemy one day..what will you do then?' asks Marcus
'I will kill myself too' says Arlyn
'If this is love then I am glad I never did fall for anyone' says Marcus
'Really? You didn't?! Then why is Valeria in your house?' asks Arlyn
'She is here to take care of Alizeh, that's it. She can never have a place of her own in my heart' says Marcus
'You can lie yourself Marcus, but you can't lie to me. We all know that she is in love with you for 4 years now' says Aryln and continues 'how long will you make her wait now. She has living with you for 4 years now. When will you marry her and make her yours officially?' asks Arlyn
'It is never going to be official Ari..because there is nothing going on between us' says Marcus
'4 years is long Marcus..she never asked you for anything, I know this pain Marcus, when you have to wait so long for the thing you love the most..and it must be more hard for her, after all she is a doctor..she sees everyone's pain' says Arlyn
'I may have gotten her here for Alizeh's treatment but I also gave her an option to leave..she chose to stay. I didn't force her Ari..it was her choice to not go, and i never gave her any hint' says Marcus
'She didn't leave because, she chose you and Alizeh to be a part of her world. She made her professional work personal for you, for Alizeh and we all know that in these years Alizeh and Valeria got so close, so don't you think it would have been a difficult choice for her to leave in the middle. So she stayed!' says Arlyn
'Anyways not go deep in my life, tell where is Lorenzo?' asks Marcus
'In a meeting. He will be back in 2 days' says Arlyn
'That's good I will have some time with you this time' says Marcus

2 days were gone by..I enjoyed my time with Marcus and family. After so long I felt truly happy somewhere. I wish it could last forever. It was my time to go back to the hotel. Lorenzo is going to pick me up!
'You should have stayed for long Aunt Ari' says Alizeh
'I wish I could but I have to go lil one. Maybe next time' says Arlyn
'Promise?' asks Alizeh
'I promise' I said her and continued 'come here' and hugged her. I gave my goodbye to Valeria and went to Marcus; he hugged me and,
'Take care. And if something like that happens again..you will call me..okay?!' says Marcus
'I will. Don't worry' I said him and left. I went out and saw Lorenzo waiting for me. I went and sat in the car and,
'You didn't come inside why?' asks Arlyn
'I didn't feel like' says Lorenzo
'Ohh' i said keeping the conversation short
We went to the hotel and when opened the room, I saw Helena there,
'Hel' I said and hugged her
'Ari..I missed you' says Helena
'I didn't expect you here' i said her
'Nor did I expected you to be here in England? Why didn't you tell me that you were coming?' asks Helena
'Sorry. But now you know I am here. And how did you get in?' asks Arlyn
'It wasn't so hard to bribe the management' she said casually
'Yeah must have be very easy for you' I said her
'Let's go and roam around England. Let me show the best places of England' suggests Helena(yeah Helena lives in England)
'Not today. I am tired; I just came back from Marcus's. And anyways why don't I leave the roaming part for my husband' says Arlyn
'Yeah sure' says Helena and continues 'anyways I will go now' says Helena
'Why so early? Stay!' Says Arlyn
'No I have to go, just came here to say you hello.. I have some work here, so let me finish it up first and then we spend the rest of the day together..what say?' asks Helena
'Sure, bye' says Arlyn
'Till I come back, keep her company Mr.O'Dare' says Helena and goes
'I will' says Lorenzo
'How was your meeting?' asks Arlyn
'Went good' he said, I heard him and lay on bed because I was tired!

So here it is,
Sorry for the late update..was caught up in writing other book chapters!!
So Arlyn had a good time with the Scott's
