Chapter 41: The unexpected goodbye

At the hospital

I woke up, rubbing my eyes, I didn't where I was, I saw mom and Dr.Kelley present in the room. Wait, where am I? Am I in the hospital? I try to recall what happened but couldn't remember anything!
'What happened mom?'
'You had an accident Ari' says Arena
'And..wait' I said realising that I was in a patient's uniform, my forehead had a bandage and suddenly my abdomen started to pain, i lift up the frock a little and realised that I had stitches on my waist.
'What happened to me mom? Doctor, why do I have stitches?' I asked hesitantly and continued 'my baby..is my baby fine, doctor?' I asked holding my legs close to my body
'Actually, Arlyn..I am sorry to say but you had a miscarriage, you have lost your baby' says Dr.Kelley
'No..no no no. Please don't say this, tell me you are kidding, it can't happen. Why..why, my baby?' I started crying realising that I was no more pregnant, my womb was empty, my child was gone, even before I could see it, give birth to it.
'Arlyn, please dear, calm down..don't cry' say's Arena
'Why shouldn't I? I have nothing left with me now, my husband doesn't loves me anymore, he wants to divorce me, I had this unexpected goodbye with my baby, I am left all alone mom. Where would I go now?' asks Arlyn
'You have me and your dad with you' says Arena and Christian come in
'We will be together as we were in past' say's Arena
'Can..can I come over to yours, dad?' I asked..asked, looked more like begged. I had nowhere to go now, I lost everything and everyone, a last hope was my parents!
'What did you gain from all these Ari..? Literally nothing. You lost your husband, child, everything..this is not how I raised you. I wanted you to be strong, not weak. I wanted you to rule this world, not be by the side of the ruler, I wanted you to be like Juliana but you aren't even 1% of her; like her. What did you gain by fighting with me for love? You should have know that you would have ended up like Lex and Juliana; parted' say's Christian
'Dad, I am sorry. I..I disappointed you. From today I will do as you say me, i won't disappoint you any further. I will be the one you want me to be' say's Arlyn
'Are you sure of that, you said me the same thing before Lorenzo came in your life' says Christian
'I promised dad' I said
'Your welcome back then' say's Christian and goes from there
'Also, one more thing Mrs.O'Dare' says Dr.Kelley
'Don't call me with that surname. Ms.Capone is my surname' I said her
'I don't want to keep you in dark, so here I go. Due to internal injuries down your abdomen; you cannot fertile ever again, you cannot get pregnant ever again Ms.Capone' says Dr.Kelley
Hearing those words broke me more, but I couldn't express anything, so I got up from the bed and walked out..mom came walking behind me, questioning me..which I didn't bother to answer, I went and sat in the car waiting for me, mom came in too and sat and the driver drove off to home. Today I may have lost everything because of you Lorenzo O'Dare, but I promise to make you pay off, for all of it, for my baby, for breaking me and leaving me behind. You made tonight the worst night of my life, I will make your whole life worst; a living hell!

We reached home; Capone Mansion, I directly went inside..to my room, it was still the same, no one could tell that I didn't live here for a whole year now. No one bothered to make changes in my room and I felt good seeing the room same as I left it. But again it reminded me of some memories, which I thought was special but it was nothing now..Lorenzo proposed me here to be his girlfriend. Every night he secretly used to come in my room and we used to talk for hours..and now everything is gone, like all the memories are fading away, I lay on the bed, a tear flowed down my eye remembering those happy moments with him, it was midnight by now, my anniversary day ended, and people are true when they say "at the end of the day you always lose a person but I lost everything!!"

A week later
It was a week now, from that drastic day. Helena came to meet Arlyn today!
'How have you been holding up now?' asks Helena
'I am better' I said and continued 'Hel..what happened that night, after I left the party?' I asked in a whisper
'Do you really wanna know?' asks Helena
'What more bad can happen after what he did to me, so yes I wanna know' I said her
'After you left, I wanted to come behind you and I was going to, but uncle stopped me, saying that at that moment you needed to be alone, so I didn't approach you. But your mom was so hurt seeing you devastated, so she went from there, searching for you. Then Lornezo announced the party was over, all went one by one. I did too, but I gave him a taste of his own medicine too..for hurting you Ari' say's Helena
'What did you do, Hel?' I asked her in a unsure tone
'I did nothing, except for saying him a few words which would have hurt him' say's Helena

Back then-
'She fucking doesn't deserve you. You hurt a pure soul like her, and do you think after doing all this, you can be happy? No, her memories will haunt you Lorenzo, her crying shall not leave you alone, you will regret doing that to her. Tell me one thing, all this drama, throwing Ari out of your mansion is because you wanted power, you craved for more power right? And you knew that Uncle and Ari..were in middle of that, that is why you did all this,right?' asks Helena

Now-
'And what did he say?' asks Arlyn
'He said yes. He said he carved for more power. He also said that, if you would be in this life, then he could never have that power..so he left you' says Helena
'Bastard. He used me all this time and I thought he loved me' says Arlyn
'Indeed he was a coward, after party ended, he left Italy..and went to Mexico..and since then he was out of anyone's reach' say's Helena
'I remember this Helena, once he fought with Juliana; saying that he would chose me over anything..over his throne too. But today he chose his throne over me, Hel. Do I deserve this? It's hurts Hel..it hurts so much' says Arlyn
'Arlyn it's not your fault. Don't blame yourself. He didn't deserve your love, girl..maybe you both weren't meant to be together. And don't even think about him now..he doesn't deserve the time you put in thinking about him' say's Helena
'Your are right. I think I should move on now' says Arlyn
'Now that's like the Arlyn i know' says Helena and hugs her
'Thank you for being here for me, Helena' says Arlyn
'Anytime' says Helena

So here it is,
Arlyn had a miscarriage.
Arlyn had her unexpected goodbye with both her baby and Lorenzo!!
