Chapter 38: Good news

A month later

A month passed by, Arlyn completely avoided Lorenzo, he didn't care about it either. Most of the time Arlyn has been out, sometimes to club with Helena, or spending time with her mom and dad or busy in the warehouse, like Lorenzo she also has become workaholic and had been coming home late now.. both still haven't forgiven each other.

Capone Mansion
'So what are your plans for your 1st anniversary dear?' asks Arena
'No plans mom. He won't even come if I even organise a party, so it's better to not do anything' says Arlyn
'You know that you both fight for silly reasons, sort it out Arlyn. Be the one to approach him' say's Arena
'Why always me mom?' asks Arlyn
'Why not? You know, in between a couple, who love the most is the one who approaches always, and it's not bad, it just shows that you love him so much. So sort it out with Lorenzo' say's Arena and continues 'your anniversary is in like 2 days and you both are still fighting with each other, not good at all. You were so good when you weren't married to each other, then what changed now?' asks Arena
'I think the same mom. It's not like I want to fight with him or stay angry on him, but he doesn't listens to me. He thinks I don't care that his mom died, it affected me too, even I am sad about it, but he doesn't understands it, it's like he's trying to push me away from him and I don't know why?!' says Arlyn
'Everything will be fine Ari' says Arena
'I hope mom' says Arlyn and continues 'I will go now' says Arlyn
'Go, also don't forget what I told you to do' say's Arena
'I won't' says Arlyn and goes

'Helena, I think I should go to a gynaecologist tomorrow' says vaguely looking down in nervousness .

'Weren't you on birth control?' asks Helena farrowing her eyebrows

'I stopped it long ago' Arlyn whispers

'Why? I thought you need time to plan a child, also you didn't wanted to have child in between all your fights, right? asks Helena curiously

'Yes I didn't wanted to but now I want, and after what happened that night, I think I should go and check up with the doctor' says Arlyn

'Are you going with Lorenzo?' asks Helena

'No, I think I will go with mom' says Arlyn

'But if you go to a doctor without him knowing, wouldn't he know about it later..he can be suspicious' say's Helena

'Fine then, I will take a pregnancy test first, and if I still doesn't get the surety then I will go to a gynaecologist' say's Arlyn

'Yes, that would be good' say's Helena and cuts the call

Later that day
After my talk with Helena, I sent Grizell to buy me a pregnancy test. She got it in half an hour and here I am in the bathroom, waiting for the result to come, I am so damn nervous about it because I am doing it alone, Lorenzo isn't by my side and what if I am not pregnant, what if I am not able to give him a child, because he said that he wanted kids...2 minutes later, I lift my head up and saw the test, there were 2 lines; that means it's positive. I am pregnant. Omg, I can't believe it, I am pregnant, oh oh..I jumped in excitement but then thought what if the test is wrong, it happens usually that the test gives the wrong results, what if I am not pregnant and this excitement is useless. I think I should go to a gynaecologist and confirm it with her, because that will only give me assurance.

Next day
It was Sunday morning, mom was free, so I took her along so that Lorenzo doesn't suspects anything's. We were at the hospital.

'All the best' says Arena
'Thank you' says Arlyn
'Are you ready Mrs.O'Dare?' asks the doctor
'I am doctor' I said

After doing the pregnancy test, at the doctor's office,
'Congratulations Mrs.O'Dare, the reports are positive, you are going to be a parent. You are 4 weeks pregnant' she informed and I gasped, I hold mom's hand and she hugged me.
'I love you so much Arlyn, I can't believe I am going to be grandmother soon and you will be a mother' say's Arena
'I can't believe it too mom, I am going to be a mother. I am so so happy' I expressed my happiness

After taking the prescription, we were coming back.
In car-
'Mom, will Lorenzo be happy hearing the news?' asks Arlyn
'Of course why wouldn't he, baby? After all he is also going to be a father. He will be more than happy love' assures Arena
'I wish the same mom' says Arlyn
'Now go inside at tell him or else I will' say's Arena
'No, not now. I will tell him tomorrow at our anniversary party. I want tomorrow to be a new chapter for both of us, I want it to be so special mom' says Arlyn
'That's good, he will be more happy tomorrow' says Arena
'Also you please don't tell him too and take these papers with you' says Arlyn
'Okay' says Arena

I went directly in our room, sat on the bed, thinking about my future with this little one. I put my hand on my stomach. I am a month pregnant already, I still can't believe a baby is growing in my stomach. I will try to be the best mother for you baby, I promise you that. And you are going to love us both so much. Me and your dad will be waiting for you' I thought. I can't wait for tomorrow, to share the good news with you Lorenzo. But now Arlyn you will have to do some work for the tomorrow's party' says my mind

9pm
'Lorenzo, can I have a moment please?' asks Arlyn and he puts his phone down(today is the day they are talking one on one after so long)
'I organised a party for our anniversary tomorrow. Hope you don't mind?' asks Arlyn
'No, I don't' says Lorenzo
'Thank you. Thank you so much for agreeing. You don't know how happy you have made me' say's Arlyn widening the smile
'Glad to do it' say's Lornezo. Of course I wouldn't say no Arlyn, because tomorrow will be the day I will let you go. 'Tomorrow will mark a new journey for both of us' thought Lorenzo
'Tomorrow will mark a new journey for both of us' thought Arlyn

So here it is,
The good news is that, Arlyn is pregnant with Lorenzo's baby.
Arlyn with give Lornezo the good news tomorrow on their anniversary day.
Lornezo is ready to let go Arlyn tomorrow.
